Yep. Need to make an affiliate link for this pillow, like. Fuck off am I not gonna squeeze every dime I can out of you lot.

Fool! I live the UK and therefore have no dimes to squeeze!

Although we do both have pennies... 😄

He's hardly touched a ball since he came back, very frustrating with a busy period ahead but this is Ousla's chance to take now.

Howe will have to play him otherwise risks an Isak injury. Howe is still too cautious in these situations though, spent 15m on Osula ffs

We should just pay his contract out, absolute waste of a squad place.

Why do people keep suggesting this as if paying him all of the remaining money he is owed up front would ever be a sensible financial decision [emoji38]

Frustration.

But you’re right, there’s absolutely no benefit to us whatsoever.

Controversial take and easy to highlight with hindsight, could have kept Chris Wood and sold Callum for £17m straight after World Cup Qatar when his stock was high.

I like Callum but like so many of our players his reputation is in ruins by staying too long. We are such bad sellers.

You are right, but people on here and elsewhere would have lost their minds.

Should de-register him from the squad in January to free up a place.

For who?

Even if a new signing were to come in and no one were to leave, I’d rather be removing one of the FIVE keepers, in the (admittedly ever decreasing) chance of him being available at some point before the end of the season.

Quite right and all. Chris Wood was absolutely shite for us. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Assuming he had any suitors. Selling Wilson was the right thing to do after the season when he got 16-18 goals or whatever it was. But keeping Wood was not the answer.

Wood gave us shape, structure and got us some good money back. I’m thrilled he’s doing so well and my Forest supporting colleague has eaten piles of humble pie as he absolutely didn’t rate him when he first went there. But he would not have suited our system at all!

Depends entirely on the question. If the question is would it have been better to keep Wood (who never misses a game) or Wilson (who doesn’t play a game) the answer, hindsight or not, is now obvious.

Guys let's stop the Wood talk already. This forum and myself included were thrilled when Ashworth almost recouped what we paid for him.

He wasn't the long term answer and we absolutely did the right thing in selling him when we could.

Exactly, it’s literally the best example of what we need to do more of. Extract maximum value for squad players.

Or sell both when their value was high/we actually had offers. Then buy a striker who isn’t a perma crock or crap.

Honestly. The re-writing on this forum of Wood’s time here is a real head scratcher. Seems a top bloke. Glad he is now doing well. But he was terrible here.
