Still worth a 1-year contract from West Ham imo. If he scored a couple before the end of the season, I could be tempted....
Pilko Posted Wednesday at 21:15 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:15 Did absolutely nowt at all, yet again. Ridiculous considering we were 5-0 up and could give Osula some minutes.

RobS Posted Wednesday at 21:30 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:30 I think they want him to get his 50th, I agree I would rather give Osula the minutes however.

buzza Posted Wednesday at 21:57 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:57 Why we don't give Osula a chance is beyond me, he can't be any worse!
Jonas Posted Wednesday at 22:05 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:05 (edited) Can only presume the logic in Wilson over Osula is to play Wilson into some sort of form, just getting a goal, and maybe something like what we've had over the years which would be massive for us at this point. You're not going to get that from Osula though he'd be more likely to get a goal and make things happen on the night, for all I don't rate him, least not at this level. duo Posted Wednesday at 22:18 Share Posted Wednesday at 22:18 I don't get bringing him on instead of Osula when the game is more or less won.
Sibierski Posted Thursday at 05:50 Share Posted Thursday at 05:50 Convinced him and Longstaff are just on a farewell tour, and Eddie is ensuring where possible they both get appearances because it could be their last.
ikri Posted Thursday at 06:53 Share Posted Thursday at 06:53 Quote A man is sitting at a bar, drinking, and he says to no one in particular, "A man can spend his life building bridges. Do they call him John the Bridge Builder? No. A man can spend his life raising crops. Do they call him John the Farmer? No. But you fuck one goat . . ." That's where Wilson is with us now. He was brilliant for us in previous years, helped us stay in the league, propelled us into the Champion's League, got himself England caps on the back on his great performances. He's risking all of that being forgotten now and being remembered only for his poor performances.

I am convinced they keep playing Callum to help him try and earn a new contract.
Doctor Zaius Posted Thursday at 08:33 Share Posted Thursday at 08:33 There's not much he can do when he's come on and we're just playing keep ball. Clearly we were just conserving energy last night and keeping it as it is for the last 20 minutes, with the odd chance of a breakaway goal.
Aiston Posted Saturday at 18:15 Share Posted Saturday at 18:15 Literally zero reason to play him.

David Edgar Posted Saturday at 18:20 Share Posted Saturday at 18:20 I don't want to see him on the pitch in a Newcastle shirt again. The same that I wouldn't want to see Shearer or the corpse of Jackie Milburn on the pitch for us again. All three of them are finished.

Newcastle Fan Posted Saturday at 19:07 Share Posted Saturday at 19:07 Similar to Almiron this season the only thing putting him on the pitch is doing is taking valuable minutes from players who need it.

duo Posted Saturday at 19:11 Share Posted Saturday at 19:11 (edited) Just don't understand the rational for keep playing him other than to give him the chance to earn a new contract. He's so off the pace - Osula must be frustrated looking on and I don't blame him - missing value game / development time.
