Dr Jinx
It’s an accidental foul, but, it resulted in stopping a certain goal. Pen for me like. Correct. It was a clear goal scoring opportunity and he was impeded.
Disco
David Luiz got sent off for less than Trent’s rugby tackle.
Dr Jinx
As much they've struggled defensively, it's the front 3 imo that are Liverpool's biggest issue they aren't scoring goals like they used to. Very stale. It’s all connected though. The defence they had just bossed the pitch, they were able to hold a very high line knowing that they’d win 99% of balls in the air and then quick enough to deal with counters. Their midfield are having to drop back much deeper to get control of the ball leaving the whole thing disjointed. Doubt has set in and one by one the players are dropping out of form. They know it’s over and it has been for weeks now.

Fantail Breeze
Should TAA not be sent off? Was that a genuine attempt to play the ball? Would’ve been a certain goal if he didn’t bring him down. Pen was definitely right.

Would’ve been a certain goal if he didn’t bring him down. Pen was definitely right. It was accidental, pen was the right decision. Does it matter if it was accidental or not? Luiz’s decision a few weeks back was hardly intentional? A quick Google of the rules and it doesn’t mention intent: Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offending player is cautioned if the offence was an attempt to play the ball; in all other circumstances (e.g. holding, pulling, pushing, no possibility to play the ball etc.) the offending player must be sent off.
