You know those stats which you don't fully appreciate because you just get used to how ridiculously great a player is.

 

Lewandowski has scored at least twice in his last 6 home games v Dortmund.

 

That is genuinely mental.

21 goals in 7 years against Dortmund. The only team he has scored more goal against in his career is Wolfsburg (24). Imagine losing your best player to your biggest rival on free and he bags them in every time...

Where do we rate him in terms of the greatest strikers of the last 15-20 years?

 

Out and out striker wise (excluding Ronaldo/Messi) probably top 5;

 

No particular order but I’d be having him, Suarez, Ibra, Henry, Van Nistelrooy/Ronaldo(when he was fit)

 

CL all time goalscorers is a pretty decent metric. Only Raul up there I wouldn’t be having, never really saw him play, but strangely never thought him a great.
