samptime29
Would take a point here although we can hurt them from set pieces. They have defensive injuries, and struggle against against good crossing.
HaydnNUFC
Our record at Elland Road and just against Leeds in general is class over the last 40 odd years and they're not in the greatest of form in terms of points but I can still see Bruce setting us up like we're playing a top 6 team. Hope I'm wrong as it's another decent chance of getting a result.

samptime29
That 4-3 win away with Nobby scoring a last minute winner is one of my favourite Toon games ever.
AyeDubbleYoo
We should lose logically, but who knows, it's NUFC under Bruce. They are the kind of team we struggle against, but they might just fail to break us down enough times.
STM
Could do with a centre half back, to get Hayden in centre mid.
Guest
If we don’t fall into the same mistake we made against Brighton, we should be looking to win. Good system and way of playing but their squad is pretty average. 4-5 good players, still a fair few Championship players.

Good system and way of playing but their squad is pretty average. 4-5 good players, still a fair few Championship players. That was embarrassing and Brighton haven't had a similar result since. Leeds are capable of performing the odd moment of brilliance, so could quite easily be a dicking, but maybe Bruceball will cancel out their possession and threat, then we get them on the counter or when we're actually able to string together a few passes in the opposing half. AyeDubbleYoo
It's their energy and pressing that should expose us, similar to Southampton. It's a question of whether they can turn that into chances and goals... we might be able to prevent that by getting everyone behind the ball as usual. Brighton played like that for about 5-6 games start of the season and were very unlucky with results (Chelsea & Man U spring to mind). If we prepare properly and don’t just go ‘same again lads’ like we’ve done a couple of times, we should beat them.

Shearergol
I'd suggest we mark Phillips out of the game but none of our midfielders are capable of doing it.

We deliver some good corners/free kicks in for Wilson and Clark, we can defo score that way.
TRon
This is going to be one of those games where we get made to look more like a team promoted from the championship than the real thing. I have no doubt Leeds will play far better football, but it all depends on who takes the chances. Bamford will be a big threat, his finishing is class. For us Wilson and Gayle if he's playing. I meant more that they played us off the park in that match, where other games it's not been that straightforward. Agree with everything you've written. Yeah, could go either way. Leeds are clearly a much better footballing side than us, but this season have shown that doesn't always translate to results. Be outplayed and hope to nick something, great times.

GWN
3 wins in a row sounds just too much , can’t call this and any result is possible in truth . Play safe , narrow Leeds win , they are off the boil and meet a red hot Newcastle team , 2-
Smal
I don’t think Bruce’s tactics are particularly suited to playing against Bielsa-ball. 3-0 defeat.
