Main thing is just getting himself consistently fit and more robust.

Fine line between fickle and realist, but at this point it's easy to veer towards the idea he will never be fit long enough to find top form.

I do think they are handling him well right now and he will benefit from it. Helps having our midfielders all fit currently. I'd still sell him for a decent offer but could also see him clicking again and making the naysayers like myself look silly!

I still think we get more than we paid, as he's now proven he's a decent level premier league player. Unfortunately he's dropping into the group of players you'd accept letting get to help fund improvements.

It's he's happy to stay I'd be happy to keep him. We all know we need depth in the squad. If he goes it'll cost whatever we get to replace him.

Was disappointed with him today, wasn't his best on the ball, hope he can play again in the FA cup and maybe we'll see a better version of him.

He was poor until we went 2-0, then he did at least put in a shift defensively.

he's amazing when he's on form but it happens so rarely that I'm not sure it's ever going to happen for him here.

Yeah, I always feel like you cant get consistent season of top performances of the level we now need out of WIllock and Longstaff but you can get a full season out of the two of them alternating if it was that simple

Yeah was frustrating watching him tonight. Mentioned in the Tonali thread,  thought off the ball he looked a little lost and was polar opposite to Tonali when you saw him. However he was still working hard.

But he was getting bullied by Rice and Party at times physically and his passing and touch were poor whenever he got it.

Even when he had chance to get forward and stretch his legs as one of his strengths, his touch or passing let him down.

So think he's still looking for form and sharpness. But currently he's a clear second choice behind the others. Thought he would be best suited to playing alongside Bruno and Tonali in this new system but Big Joe just has more about him to an little Joe at the moment.

I'm disappointed as I really like Willock and I think he offers us so much, but whether it is the injuries, getting back to a higher level, etc... something just isn't working at the moment and his performances aren't where we or he needs them to be. Shame as he is a cracking player when he is on it.

Thought he really started coming into it second half. He was anonymous in the first.

He was finding space behind their midfield. Always a willing runner to make them constantly turn and sprint back facing their own goal. Did really well to find space for a break. Then a poor pass (and poor play after) to Isak. Was much more involved, at least.

Felt like he was going to be important as the game wore on. Then he seemingly got yet another knock and we shut up shop, anyway. So he was always going to make way at that point.
