One thing about Barnes is - he’ll get himself into a promising position.

Willock is always running down blind alleys. Making the wrong run. He gets the ball and you just know the attack is going to break down.

I was a big fan of the lad. I want to cut him some slack but I was over him after 30 minutes.

He's not good enough, we've outgrown him.

I think it's more that he's just forgotten how to do the things he was doing well three seasons ago tbh. That Willock would still look good in this team.

Now he tries to do too much on the ball and does too little off it. Such a stark contrast that it's hard to see him ever regaining that form.

Rumours of him being. bit of a dick also, turning up to training late, lots of fines etc

The lads an enigma but needs to be someone else's problem sooner rather than later

It's not rumours, every player says it in those teammates interviews they do on Sky/TNT/possibly even the official NUFC channel.

Sure it was Bruno said that he reckoned at least 20% of Willock's salary goes on fines

Went and found it, 1.15. Nicely edited for comedic effect

I've spent enough time on this thread defending him, I thought he had a lot of good qualities - and tbh he has. He can be good on the ball, and he has great pace. But if you don't have the common sense to release it in time and end up giving it away too often that just means you lack football intelligence.

A lot of our players either seem to panic or just not concentrate enough when it comes to final balls, killer passes. Hall had a bunch today, lots did and lots have this season and last. We do the hard work and turn the ball over or overhit it far too regularly.

Build up play good. Killer passes not there, even when we have the time to do so. Frustrating.

Hall was rusty but he got better as the game went on. This is why you spend big money on players, they tend to keep hold of the ball better under pressure. We had a few weak areas today with players being rested, so I guess it shows we don't have the squad some of our rivals do yet.

Aye. So great to have him back. Even early on he was beating their winger with ease and must have been the most fouled player in the first half!

The purple patch and that pass to Isak with the outside of his boot is how I choose to remember this lad.

Seems a nice enough guy, but also doesn’t have the desire for football that a good amount of players do.

It’s unfair to compare him to Bruno, but you could see today it was killing him not to be out there on the pitch as he was yelling from the sidelines. Then there’s Willock going through the motions until he was subbed.
