KaKa
If Leeds turn us over at home on Friday the pressure will be immense, which would be exactly what he deserves. Therefore, I would not be at all surprised if we pull out a fluke result.

nbthree3
'The previous manager' had an identical record in the Premier League on points over 2 full seasons*, but he didn't upset the local media and he appreciated the fans. The atmosphere with Wor Flags and all was overwhelmingly positive... little things like honesty and respecting the traditions of the club (at Everton Rafa was given a car recently, he made sure it was royal blue to appeal to the fans. Koeman the other year had red baubles on his Christmas tree and fans were upset with that) go far for keeping people onboard *doesn't tell the whole story obviously but national media look only at the league table or points record to justify their opinions not the finer details
ScottishMagpie
Thick doesn't cover it. He could be worse manager in history but with a bit of savvy he could have controlled his narrative from the moment he got the job and had us, maybe not worshipping him, but would be on his side but nah. He chose his route and burnt the ships as well.

nbthree3
Definitely, in the positive for net spend over 3 years. Brought a relegated side (with the 11th best form I think in the league from appointment before the end of the season) back up as champions despite obvious hurdles and finished top 10 first season. Every year since then we've slipped further behind the top 10 Edited September 12, 2021 by nbthree3
nbthree3
Club claim in their statement Bruce has been backed with £120m to finish exactly where we have been before, it's a shame 'a good job' means standing still these days
toon25
Ashley and his fat thumb head cunt mate won't get rid of him. The only means of him fucking off is putting enough pressure - or directing enough abuse at the thin-skinned wanker to push him into resigning. LV
I worry he’ll have some kind of health issue before he resigns and I don’t wish that on anyone. He’s not wanted here by anyone apart from Ashley and needs to just resign. He’ll get another job paying him well over what he deserves for another also-ran club. He’s been completely found out and just needs to go because this will not end well for anyone.
Yorkie
He's not gonna resign when there's a seven figure sum accompanying a sacking. Plus resigning would be an admittance of failure so I doubt he'll have even considered that way out.
ScottishMagpie
Could there not be a "mutual parting". He doesn't resign and he's not sacked but a sum is agreed that will cover his mortgage on his villa in Portugal?

et tu brute
I think only John Gibson has the real bollocks to put the screw in at the Chronicle. Will they let him off the hook (he’s only a part time writer now)? Needs to happen as Bruce is on a.breakdown and Ryder is just a shit reporter and scared shitless of being ostracised by the club. Scoot
Lads, please stop thinking he's going anywhere. Remember last season when we were on that horrendous run of games without winning? Everyone kept saying "he's got to go now surely?" He didn't. He's here for a long time yet.

Fast forward three years and he’s been proven right. Bruce’s focus year in year out is to try to match the level Rafa was never satisfied with, just so he can make some pointed remarks at the end of the season. And we’re all meant to happy achieving these ‘realistic’ heights!
