Fans are a pretty simple lot Matt, get a few results and they'll swing right back behind you. Just got to look at Everton's foam flecked rabble to see that. Now they are all seeing the light a la Rafa. Bruce has had 5 transfer windows and his team has constantly been battling relegation. That's why the fans are moaning for the most part. Yes he can easily turn that around still - if he's even half as good as Jordan claims he is.

He's saying that Bruce could win the league and the fans would still hate him. He's claiming that the fans opinion of him is nothing to do with the football. But that's bullshit, the fans for the most part don't hate him. Maybe on here we don't think much of him, but the wider public would get behind him pretty damn quick if he got a few wins. He'd be getting "Brucie give us a wave chants!" before you know it. If there's grumblings against him now, it's because fans are starting to cotton on that he's a useless blimp. No fans anywhere will put up with that for long.
The Prophet
The fans opinion of Bruce has everything to do with football. Namely he's chosen to become an agent for an owner who has destroyed said fans football club.

Mattoon
I wasn't suggesting fans wouldn't get back behind him, I was saying that's what Jordan was saying. It's just to play into the narrative that the supporters aren't willing to give him a chance regardless of what he does. We all know the happy clappers will be asking for a wave if we win 2 on the trot, hell, if we win on Friday they'll probably be verbally sucking him off! Hence the reason I'd rather him stick to type and keep losing.

nufcjb
I've just got a feeling, a really strong one that this cunt will nut or throw a flappy punch to someone one of these days. Or at least throw a water bottle at someone. The way he reacted to Ryder's questions was so so pathetic. He ha not received any Pardew-level stick yet his lost his temper by question by asked through a computer screen. A cabbage or two on Friday night, maybe on his way into the ground and he'll rip off his shitty Castore gear ala Hulk Hogan and stick up a finger while trash talkinh imagining himself as Steve Austin but coming off like Steve Wraith. BennyBlanco
Fat cunt of an owner, fat cunt of an MD and a fat cunt of a “manager”. The place is literally coming apart at the seams. Bruce ain’t the root of the problem but he’s certainly a symptom that needs to be eradicated and quickly.

Yorkie
SEASON GOALS CONCEDED PER GAME 2017-18 47 1.2 2018-19 48 1.3 2019-20 58 1.5 2020-21 62 1.6 2021-22 12 3.0 "Another issue is that some Newcastle players do not seamlessly fit into this system in their natural positions, meaning many have been asked to carry out unfamiliar roles. Against Manchester United on Saturday, Isaac Hayden, a defensive midfielder, started at right centre-back — a position Bruce had planned for him to play more regularly if Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury had joined on loan this summer. Hayden’s lack of understanding with right wing-back Javier Manquillo, who was starting his first league game of the season, contributed to Manchester United’s second goal. Emil Krafth, a right-back, has also been used as the right centre-back and is one of three defenders to have started on the right of the back three already this season. Across the first four matches, Bruce has actually changed his central-defensive combination three times; and he has done so out of choice, rather than necessity. Krafth, Fernandez and Clark started that opening loss to West Ham; then Fernandez, Lascelles and Schar began against both Villa and Southampton; at the weekend, his back three at kick-off was Hayden, Lascelles and Clark. In a peculiar move, Jamal Lewis, a left-back, also came on at Old Trafford to play as a left-sided centre-back for the final few minutes after Clark was forced off due to injury, despite the fact Fernandez and Schar were on the bench, too. This constant tinkering has not aided Woodman, playing his first season at Premier League level, with the 24-year-old goalkeeper unable to easily build relationships with the defence in front of him." (Athletic's breakdown of our defensive issues) Absolute insanity. It doesn't even scream of someone who doesn't know what they're doing, since even an imbecile would aim to swap like with like where possible. This is him desperately trying something, anything, to fix problems he has created but having no clue what's going on around him.
