Didn't watch the documentary so can't comment on how nice he comes across, but I always find it quite funny that the whole 'shagging OAP prostitute' thing doesn't come up (admittedly not on this particular intervirw, more just in general).

At least those two others he paid to have a threesome with weren't too shabby.

Hearing Hugh Johns commentate on the 66 final brings back memories of Sunday afternoons as a kid when he commentated in the Central area on Star Soccer for years. Different areas had different commentators. London had Brian Moore, East Anglia had Gerry Harrison, North West had Gerald Sinstadt, Yorkshire had Martin Tyler, Roger Tames did the North East after Kenneth Wolstenholme. Can't remember the South Coast one, might have been David Bobin.

You'd get highlights of the game in your area followed by briefer highlights from around the country. It wasn't as good as Match of the Day but it was good Sunday afternoon fayre. Indeed when commercial television won the Saturday night contract in the early 80s, there was a public outcry and Match of the Day came back after a couple of years away.

Jimmy Greaves lying in a regular bath with his leg strapped and a wooden chair in the bath with him to keep his foot elevated.

How football medical science has progressed.

Got the image of Derek Wright frantically taking notes on all of these new fangled methods he can use tomorrow.

That takes me back. We had 'Shoot' covering the North East with a main game on a Sunday. Even Hartlepool and Darlington were chosen sometimes. When i think of the toon on Shoot i'm getting images of Peter Withe in a Bukta shirt in front of a half built leazes end. Feeling very nostalgic now.

It's a shame it couldn't air in the UK until now, very powerful and moving film. There's not a lot of high quality footage of the what went on before it was released, this really gives it a face. Definitely watch it.
