SEMTEX
Wayne Rooney Snr seems like an interesting man.
Disco
Didn't watch the documentary so can't comment on how nice he comes across, but I always find it quite funny that the whole 'shagging OAP prostitute' thing doesn't come up (admittedly not on this particular intervirw, more just in general). At least those two others he paid to have a threesome with weren't too shabby.
lovejoy
came across ok i thought, however, my nephew did a coaching session with him last week in liverpool, was a nike thing, and it was surprise that he was there, only about 12 kids. they wernt allowed to ask for autographs or pictures. shit crack. Bowie
I never realised he was arguing with the referee during the run up to his absolute thunderbastard of a strike against us. It looked hilarious.
Fugazi
Just catching up on that Rooney thing Wayne Rooney Snr seems like an interesting man. Doesn't seem like his missus lets him get a word in edgeways.

Paully
The Boys of 66 documentary was absolutely superb! It's repeated at 10pm on Sky Sports 1 - well worth a watch!
Incognito
Martin Peters was some player like. Generally overlooked when discussing greatest England players.
Incognito
Hearing Hugh Johns commentate on the 66 final brings back memories of Sunday afternoons as a kid when he commentated in the Central area on Star Soccer for years. Different areas had different commentators. London had Brian Moore, East Anglia had Gerry Harrison, North West had Gerald Sinstadt, Yorkshire had Martin Tyler, Roger Tames did the North East after Kenneth Wolstenholme. Can't remember the South Coast one, might have been David Bobin. You'd get highlights of the game in your area followed by briefer highlights from around the country. It wasn't as good as Match of the Day but it was good Sunday afternoon fayre. Indeed when commercial television won the Saturday night contract in the early 80s, there was a public outcry and Match of the Day came back after a couple of years away. Guest
Jimmy Greaves lying in a regular bath with his leg strapped and a wooden chair in the bath with him to keep his foot elevated. How football medical science has progressed.

We had 'Shoot' covering the North East with a main game on a Sunday. Even Hartlepool and Darlington were chosen sometimes. When i think of the toon on Shoot i'm getting images of Peter Withe in a Bukta shirt in front of a half built leazes end. Feeling very nostalgic now. Ameritoon
It's a shame it couldn't air in the UK until now, very powerful and moving film. There's not a lot of high quality footage of the what went on before it was released, this really gives it a face. Definitely watch it.

henke
Is that the 30 for 30? I never knew a 30 for 30 was banned. I hope it is that one cause I've never seen it. I love 30 for 30 too, so many great ones.
