Flip
Did the predictor thingy and if Wigan beats Swansea I have them finishing on 39 together with us, Norwich and Sunderland. Wigan goes clear on -24, we and Norwich finishes on -25 but we go ahead of them on goals scored or w/e comes after goal difference. Fucking hell. 39p will absolutely kill us. We need to win against QPR, seriously have too. But I got Wigan going down if they don't beat Swansea.

Gallowgate Toon
I know it's footy supporter's pessimism/reverse jinxing, but I'm still surprised at how many people seem to think that you'll probably go down. The odds are still in your favour, just. If you beat QPR, you could go eleventh. There are just too many crazy things that would need to happen for you to go down. Win and you're safe, I reckon. Norwich are suddenly in great peril, but Wigan still need to get the points on the board. Even that one point today gave you an appreciably better chance of staying up. It's understandable panic but I'm in the same place as you. I'd be very surprised if we went down, there are just too many factors in play. I think WBA will win next week, they played well yesterday showing they're hardly settling down and they just came off the back of a 3-0 away win. I can see Norwich getting a point at most, I reckon we'll get 2 at least. Then there's other teams to consider too, the Mackems are in big trouble for example. There's a lot left to play for. Wullie
There's many twists and turns to come. Very feasible that a team like Fulham could suddenly find themselves in the bottom three momentarily on the last day. That's why I think three points will do it - there's simply too many in the mix. If we get to 41, for both Villa and Wigan to finish above us would require one of them to beat Chelsea/Arsenal respectively. Then even if that happens, the mackems still need 4 points to get to 41, Norwich need 3 (and they pretty much need them against West Brom), Fulham need 1 but have tough games, Southampton, Stoke and mackems are all playing each other so points will be dropped there. Skeletor
Awful knowing our fate is in the hands of a man who doesn't know the meaning of 'going all out for the win'. Honestly you couldn't hand pick a better game than QPR in our situation but we'll probably fuck it up.

Dokko
If heaven forbid it happens - which players will stay, and which will go? Who would we be able to afford to keep? Who would want to stay? Krul, colo, santon, Cisse, Cabaye hba will be the first out the door, think we'd make easy money on the French guys that came in January as well. You'd then hope we can offload Jonas and I'm sure someone would be in for Tiote. Simpson & Harper are already gone. Could be looking at around £100m in sales if paper talk values are to be believed. captainhaircut
I've said it before on here but shift on Hatem, Cabaye, Krul, Debuchy, Tiote, Colo and Jonas and you've made somewhere near 45m. You'd still have Elliott, Santon, Mbiwa, Taylor, Haidara, Anita, Sissokho, Marveaux, Gouffran, Cisse, Campbell as a first 11. I would take a strong position from the board and a good manager to motivate them but with that you'd have a championship winning side and a good base when you come back up. You seriously believe Sissoko, Marv, Mbiwa or Cisse would be here? They're all gone along with Anita as well. I think JH starting eleven there is the absolute best we could expect from a team if we are relegated, and that is nowhere near good enough for promotion. Elliot Tav Taylor Willi Haidara Jonas Bigi Anita Ferg/Obertan Campbell Gouff Is the absolute best we could expect. Even then I'm 75% sure Anita and Gouff would try to move on. Yeah you're right should have put him in the certains. Krul will likely go too, but he has an injury may or may not throw clubs off the scent, but he's been so good I'd doubt that. Ketsbaia
1) Swansea get something at Wigan 2) West Brom beat Norwich 3) We beat QPR I think only one of these needs to happen for us to be OK. The problem is that every result has gone against us for a while, we just can't catch a break. Whilst good defensively, Swansea have only scored in 2 of their last 6 games. Now they've lost Michu, that could get even worse. West Brom did put in the effort against WonderWigan, which I was worried about, and you'd assume Norwich would be much easier to beat. Fingers crossed.

There's an insane amount of permutations, 8 teams still vulnerable with 2/3 games to go is mental. I keep going over everything in my head, we'll know a lot more by Tuesday night. What's really fucking irritating is the GD situation after the last two home games. Still very possible, given the number of teams who still have to play City/Spurs/Arsenal/Chelsea that one team taking a kicking could be a nail in the coffin.
