So we've got Liverpool the week before a Europa League Semi with nowt else to play for, Man City concentrating on a Champions League Semi Final, hopefully Spurs on their holidays on the last game, two home games against average teams with nothing left to play for, and Villa. We can't really have asked for the circumstances of that set of games to be any better if we're to get out of it?

Probably end up Sunderland and Norwich drawing as well but we'll still mess it up.

I'll be absolutely amazed if that's not a draw to give us the 15 mins post full time to kick off of mild hope.

Allardyce said on Sunday the Norwich game was a 'must not lose' game like. That's got 0-0 or 1-1 written all over it. He'll play for the draw and get it.

Norwich - 33

Newcastle - 32

Sunderland - 31

I thought I was being fairly optimistic, as well.  Lots of draws and losses for the mackems.  Us beating Swansea, Palace and drawing with Villa.

I doubt we'll even win tomorrow.

Honestly think tomorrow is the last chance for us to give ourselves a fighting chance.

A win might just give the players a bit of belief to carry into the last five fixtures. Think the atmosphere on Tuesday night against City would be absolutely cracking if our fans got just a little bit of encouragement from the team.

After that, only Liverpool away is a fixture that I'm pretty certain we'll get tonked in. Even then, that game comes right after the Merseyside derby and before their Europa League semi so perhaps they'll be a little flat. Still likely enough to beat us mind, but it's at least something.

If we can get some momentum over the next week and stay within touching distance you couldn't ask for a better pair of fixtures than Palace and Villa. If we manage to take it to the last day then hopefully Leicester will have the league sewn up and Spurs will have nothing to play for other than the players trying to keep fit for the Euros.

Still hope IMO, but we really need to get the fucking finger out.

I've done that predictor thingy 3 times now - optimistic, realistic and one with the occasional 'rogue' result. Norwich stayed up every time.

Over on Rapey to Groom they have a thread on the same chronicle doodad which is onto the 3rd page. After the OP all but ONE post has them not going down. One. And we're the deluded ones.....

(edit - NOT going down)

Sunderland lose to Stoke, beat Everton - 36 points

Think it will be a draw tomorrow between Norwich and Sunderland. Sunderland will take the lead and then sit back and invite pressure and Norwich will equalise late on.

I honestly think the nonces will get spanked, effectively relegating us both. Cant count on those paedy f*ckers to do anything right, especially anything that might benefit us....

I'm a firm believer in what goes around comes around and the way certain people at this club have acted and went on over the years has came back to bite them on the arse with this impending relegation. For me it goes all the way back to when they showed utter contempt towards Chris Hughton by approaching Pardew well in advance of Hughton leaving. That was like sowing the seed. Only a select few do not deserve this. Namely the few players who give a fuck, Rafa and his staff and the kids who support the club. Older fans deserve this because they should know better and in SP.com and AO.com they had something powerful to get behind but they chose the regieme... I love Rafa, I love NUFC, but I fucking hate Ashley and co and most of the players and indeed fans so they can all fuck off as far as I'm concerned. Give me an NUFc playing conference footy without all this shitness over an Ashley owned NUFC in the PL. Any day of the week.

I'm down to about a 4.

No reason why we can't stay in the Championship next year if we don't lose too many of our average players in the summer and manage to sign a couple of standard journeymen llike we did with the likes of Harewood/Fitz Hall last time.
