hakka
The alternatives to McClaren at this stage Whoever they want, I just hope they line them up and get some sort of agreement before sacking McClaren... if they are gonna sack him. Last thing we need is to be stumbling along without a manager/head coach, like last time. Otherwise Carver will be on the blower! via Imgflip Meme Maker Doesn't look sufficiently punched. Guest
Anyone with more than 7-8 points than us after today is safe imo. So if we lose, it probably limits it to two of us, Norwich and Sunderland. Win, and it keeps teams like Bournemouth, Swansea, WBA and possibly even Palace depending on their result today, looking over their shoulder.
Ketsbaia
A near-perfect set of scores today, although starting to believe Sunderland will get out of it. West Brom are shocking, cant score and have nasty fixtures.
Dave
Still right in the shit considering the next best team is effectively four points away. We can't simply rely on Norwich being worse than us. We've got six home games left and need to win them all. Might as well fucking forget about the away games.
Guest
Aye didn't realise how hard their fixtures are, but they're the sort of team who'll nick a 1-0 out of nowhere against someone when you don't expect it.
Collage
Two of the home games are against Spurs and Man City. And I don't trust us to win the derby.
TRon
Real six pointer that one, we've now got ourselves within 3 points of WBA and dragged them right into the mix.
Guest Phillipealbert
Back down to 4-5 for me.
54
If we sort our away form out, I reckon we'd be okay, as we can't rely on winning every home game.
nufcjmc
Still an 8 from me we can't string two performances together so could be right back in the shot depending on the results points wise we don't have any form of cushion or margin of error with the current bottom 3 beyond one set of results so could do the cycle of trading places for a while yet
TK-421
If we want any chance of staying up, we MUST start beating the teams around us... and we have Bournemouth, Mackems and Swansea at home, with Norwich and Villa away... Palace at home could be a 6 pointer by then as well. However, in my guesses yesterday, I only expected 8 points from those 5 matches. :/ I still think we may need to replace McClaren if we want to stay up, as WBA didn't really turn up today, but we still didn't make the game safe. Minhosa
Real six pointer that one, we've now got ourselves within 3 points of WBA and dragged them right into the mix. 5 points innit?
Guest chopey
WBA were shocking today and I think they will be dragged into it
Guest neesy111
Still a 6. We have to start picking up points away from home, even draws.
Ryan
Still think it'll be us, Norwich and Villa going down. Mackems will get out of it with a derby win and then a rise in form.

Dokko
if we can stay out of the relegation zone by our first game in march then i say were safe.
samptime29
We really could do with winning a couple of away games like. Massive 3 points today, we look decent enough at home. If we could somehow pick up 2 wins from the next 3 games, it would help us no end. Still in the thick of it, but feeling more positive after today. West Brom could defo get dragged into this BTW. Minhosa
Still think it'll be us, Norwich and Villa going down. Mackems will get out of it with a derby win and then a rise in form. This is exactly my fear.
AyeDubbleYoo
I'm not sure this changes my view on survival much. I'd say we're more likely to stay up than go down, but it'll be a bumpy ride along the 4th/5th bottom zone for a while yet.
George Bailey
Just have zero faith in McClaren putting a run of results together. Going to the very wire. Sack him (which they clearly won't) and we survive far easier imo. Vital 3 points today so fair play.
AyeDubbleYoo
I don't think sacking him improves our chances that much unless we replace him with the kind of manager we'll never go for.
sempuki
Need 5 wins and a draw from home games against Bournemouth, Swansea, Mackems and Palace and away games against Villa and Norwich.
STM
Every goal matters. If we hadn't conceded 3 against Everton, our goal difference would be significantly better than Norwich.
