ponsaelius Posted October 6, 2021 Share Posted October 6, 2021 It's very weird one for me this because this season is the first time ever I've been able to properly pull myself away from the club altogether. Have watched about 60 minutes in total of our games. Have had no Sky Sports so been able to avoid them. Dived completely into supporting local non-league. Not even really followed the Premier League. I had convinced myself it was not happening, and that allowed me to have a clean break. For this to seemingly come from nowhere - not even sure how to take it. Guest HTT II Posted October 6, 2021 Share Posted October 6, 2021 (edited) I doubt I’ll ever be back at SJP other than maybe the occasional odd match, I just want to see Ashley gone, that is victory for me, whoever takes us over, I don’t care about mega spend or what not, as long as we try to compete and be the best we can be, I still love my club and always will, I tell my boys you don’t have to like football, play it or watch it, but you only ever have one club and that’s Newcastle United and it’s your club and you will always or should always want what’s best for it, full stop, it’s our club and always will be, formed by the fans, kept afloat by the fans and without the fans it wouldn’t exist. The beauty about it all is it belongs to our city, the people. Geordies born and bread and adopted Geordies from around the globe who for some insane reason choose to follow this mad old grande basket case of a club that is OURS.
