Remind me, does “imminently” mean under or over a month?

Aye, I'm not sure anyone at NUFC knows the meaning of the word "imminent".

You are leading 1-0 with just added time to play. You can expect an equaliser IMMINENTLY

I know they say never go back and all that, but I really do think we lost something that might be irretrievable when Staveley and Ghoudoussi left.

Would love to think they could come back and for it to be anywhere near the same, but probably wishful thinking.

Would you sell Sandro to part fund his return?

Probably would, tbf

I would. Inevitable he’ll go anyway, so might as well get a replacement who’d run through walls for us.

IF we did sell Sandro there's absolutely zero chance I would blow it all + some more on Anderson. Would be an absolutely foolish way of spending money.

You sell Sandro to get a Camara and get a technical attacking 8.

Net spend down to around €390m under PIF after the Gordon sale? Under £80m a year. It really doesn't seem excessive given the squad we had inherited, yet we still seem so hamstrung.

Wage bill has increased quite significantly though I reckon.

Since staying up, our biggest issue has been we've never had any good sellable players. Our squad has been stacked with aging players not worth selling as the replacement would cost a lot more.

I think the only players we've managed to shift for any type of fees from the pre takeover era are ASM and Almiron, and Anderson which we obviously had to sell for way less than he was worth.

I can't think of any other PL team having been stuck with such a disgrace of a squad that most of it have been largely unsellable despite the teams success on the pitch.

Posted a couple of years ago that I’m connected to a company the club have courted for sponsorship. Have it on good authority, that as it stands right now there is no confirmed front of shirt sponsor for next season. Potential even for an interim one year deal - whilst they seek out a long term partner - which would be at a huge reduction to what we have received from Sela. Club against it with the Adidas dates. Suspect - and this is only my inference, that Sela will eventually renew for a singular year or longer - but that has not been greenlit in Saudi.

All stems from PIF being seemingly glacial in their decision making and quite frustrating to work with. Not sure on the exact timelines of this but certainly since the takeover they effectively vetoed a training kit sponsor put forward by the commercial team as they considered it poor value.

Understand this was being touted at c. half the price of the existing Sela deal, on a one year interim basis, as recent as a few weeks ago. Would be a surprise at this stage if it’s anything but a backwards step commercially.

That would be a tremendous failure.

I find it hard to believe that Aston Villa are on the verge of a £40m deal with Audi, and we can’t get close considering we are both the main teams vying to challenge the established top 6 clubs, and a week ago we were the ones with a trophy in our cabinet.

Because they aren’t?
