Antipode23
I think a lot of people made peace with the Saudis' moral vacuousness on the condition they were bold, brave and engaging owners that would take us on a consistent upward trajectory. They've kind of been a let down though, and the good will is now fading it seems.

RS
Since Stavely left we’ve become an empty corporate vessel, devoid of any real alignment with the fans. Very much ok for City, Chelsea, Liverpool etc but when you can’t spend like them it really needs something else to engage with the paying public. Especially when the team has regularly served up dross in the league.

500bhp
Other than the delay in the training ground and stadium announcements, I don't see what they've done wrong? They must have invested £1.5bn in the project if you include the £600m paid to settle the Bein issue to allow the takeover to complete. They've spent the maximum allowed within the PSR rules over each 3 year rolling loss period. They are not visible owners but they've upheld their side of the deal with cash injections. Miggys First Goal
They’ll have been here five years come October. To have not even presented architectural plans for a new training ground is criminal behaviour.

Not talking about the people who are in charge of recruitment, but specifically PIF.

Agree on the training ground and the CEO to some extent, although a CEO is not typically involved in transfers these days, thats the DOF. Who it would appear(??) was pushed out by Howe in a power struggle in May leaving us with no DOF last summer.
Kid Icarus
They took a year to replace the CEO, 6 months to replace a DoF that left, and their CEO and DoF contingency plan in the summer was 'okay, you do it' to 3 people with no CEO or DoF experience.
Tsunami
I think PIF seriously damaged our pre season tbh. I believe Eddie and the players wanted Isak out as soon as he didn’t get on the plane and PIF fucked about trying to get him to stay. Weeks were wasted. Yes, Wissa was a poor choice but he wasn’t Isak’s replacement. I cant believe that Woltemade would have ended up as that choice.

The problem with that is that if Isak had stayed and either been shit or essentially refused to play/train we wouldn't have had the funds to replace him and we'd end up having to play Gordon or Osula up front. Wait, hang on...

Whether he was in a huff or not, selling him wasn't in our best interests at the time, regardless of the fee. At the time I started off with the same opinion. I know someone who is in regular contact with Bruno and they told me that Bruno wanted Isak gone, most of the players wanted him gone and Eddie and Isak weren’t even talking. He’d effectively gone; there was no going back. PIF weren’t having it. If we’d done the deal once he’d decided to stay at home/ gone to Spain our replacement wouldn’t have been Wolte. I’m no fan of player power and yes we got good money, eventually, but that’s now gone and we’ve not replaced him. This isn’t a case of hindsight, Isak wanted to leave and the manager, backroom staff and players wanted him out. In those circumstances and the facts you sell and move on. Yasir wanting to keep hold of his favourite players is school boy stuff.
