Anyone wanting them isn't a gamer at all with what they've done over the last 7-10 years.

Another uncanny coincidence! I’ve just been on the phone to the Mrs and use the phone in the corner of the control room at the PCS engineer’s desk. I stood up and noticed something on the shelf, picked it up and turned it over.

Hell not just that but just if your interested in tech at all. They've completely fucked over the average person with their desire to push AI, making buying new PCs just a non starter for most people.

Apple would look great and be worth a fortune. It won’t be Apple

It’ll be someone who we likely have never heard of in our lives.  If Apple or Microsoft or [insert tech giant here] were going to sponsor football clubs they’d have been doing it by now.

Any mileage in this Coca-Cola rumour or complete horseshit ?

They’ve got almost zero history of shirt sponsorship in Europe so it seems unlikely (though they’ve sponsored shitloads of clubs in the Americas - no idea why it’s different over there)

Doesn't matter who it is, some people will still have a pop

People fizzing over shirt sponsors is ridiculous.

Surely it would either Azure, Copilot or some division rather than the conglomorate if it was a front of shirt sponsor? Which of them has the worst logo [emoji38]

I’d be very surprised.

As someone else has said, they don’t tend to do main club sponsorship in Europe. They have sponsored leagues before, and are a Premier League sponsor.

We were rumoured to sign them as a drinks sponsor last year alongside Aston Villa, Arsenal, and Man Utd, but it didn’t happen.

During lockdown I read a book by a former Coca Cola CEO. Before he became the CEO he was the head of the African region and they were wanting him to go to South America and talk to the head of the South American region. Apparently they were wanting him out as he never took part in group calls, and wanted to spend $1m on one purchase.

It turns out the guy said he could hardly speak English and that they knew that when they employed him that Spanish and Portuguese were his main languages.

Also, the $1m he wanted to spend was for the title sponsor of the Brazilian football league. The guy writing the book was saying that he had to go back to the Coca Cola CEO at the time and explain how much of steal paying only $1m for the sponsorship of the league was, like they were literally going to be called the Coca Cola Brazilian Liga.

So in answer to your question, probably the price.

As if one of the big tech companies are going to sponsor us [emoji38] In the unlikely event they did get involved with a PL club, it would be for the big brands like Man U or Liverpool, not us.

I haven’t had a gaming PC for over 18 years, so out of the loop now. If they did get the front of shirt sponsor you’d be all over it ;)

Where did you hear this? I would absolutely love this. Other than the blue star I think it's the only sponsor that can enhance a shirt. Please let this happen!

Would be funny if a “Big Tech” company did end up sponsoring us giving the clubs tech offerings are absolute horse shit.

They’ve scheduled that during my working hours on purpose, I’m sure of it.

Are these a reliable source?

Not really, although they’re essentially just a news aggregator, so depends where they’ve actually sourced that from, assuming they haven’t just entirely made it up.
