I love Eddie and what he’s done. But we really can’t keep saying ”Massive few games coming up” and so on. We’re here and now. I never thought we had the squad for a Top 4 push (a serious one - not the one where many others are flailing about) but as shown against Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool we have good players when everything clicks. But there are serious issues when we can’t focus or motivate properly for the ”lesser sides”. It’s only going one way from here I fear. 😕

Next match home vs Leicester. That should be an easy win and the pressure will be taken way a bit.

Which also means I do think he will be sacked if we lose this fucking easy one.

What we really need is two or three additions in January. The problem is, thanks to our PSR position, we can't do that without selling one of our best players.

This is why managers ultimately get binned off, it's easier/cheaper than large scale player turnover. I'm not saying it's right, but we've got three big games coming up and if we don't get the results we need our season could be effectively over before Christmas.

We had to be clever in going around this PSR-shite. Whomever up in the boardroom has not been clever enough and we have not signed what has been screamed out for (RW-trickery). We are not able to sell our.. Well lets be honest under-par players even though other clubs manage. Our ship has been run in shambles.

I love him to bits but it's becoming harder and harder to stick up for him now. That was fucking woeful in the 2nd half. It's happening way too often now as well.

I'm gutted about it but maybe he has took us as far as he can.

Obviously ill still sing his name next Saturday but I fear for him now.

Just like West Ham.

And yet, when Paul Mitchell essentially called this out, he got slated?

If I had a criticism of Eddie I don't think he is ruthless enough - he just doesn't seem the type to give these players the hair dryer treatment.  Week after week were doing the same types of mistakes.  Brentford were gifted the win today.

12th with a negative goal difference and only 5 wins. Might as well have The King in charge at this point. Those draws would have been wins. Some of them possibly defeats. Still better.

Young Eddie has done well but he’s under pressure now the lad. see ya later.

First half performance was great in terms of creativity and cutting them open, felt like real green shoots let down by some diabolical decisions (Isak and Barnes). 2nd half was grim.

Still think Howe is the man and will sort it out given time, the signs are there imo, but no doubt that will be a minority opinion on here.

Unless we win a cup he is gone in the summer. Top 4 is already looking beyond us. We had our moments to push back up there and we hit implode.

Unless we continue to plummet and get pulled into the relegation race I think he will still get until then. That said, I don't think our owners give a shit about sentimentality at this point. We have been largely shite for a year and a half almost. Lost that spark after crashing out of the CL and other teams finding us out.

I genuinely don't know who would be good enough that's available and willing that could step in. I could definitely see Mourinho on the phone to be interim until season end. I don't want that but i could see it.

I’m now at the point where I think with no additions. It is worth giving someone else a go. Fresh ideas, a different style of play, clean slate for certain players etc.

If we do have money for January and Howe is still heavily involved in transfers. Then I’m not sure I’d trust him with those decisions or would I want ‘Howe’ players bought in. As I’m now at the point where I don’t have any confidence that he will turn it around here. Which has made me more sad than the defeat.

:weep:
