elbee909
We just want a team that tries! But also that doesn't fail to get 3 points every time as well
Shearergol
Our squad is a bit shit. Our manager is a bit world class.
Ellis H
Since the last Brighton game 2 months ago… Won 7 Drawn 1 Lost 1 Trophies 1 Realistically he’s doing as well as he can, maybe more so considering he was very ill in hospital for some of that. Doubting him just makes you look exceptionally stupid.
Ketsbaia
It is kind of insane that a defensive core of Pope/Dubravka, Schar and Burn is fighting for Champions League spots, mind. And then Murphy on the right. Puts perspective on things a bit.

We've got an excellent manager but we don't have a shit squad - we've got a first rate first XI and a handful of good back ups.

KingArthur
Sadly, when some people say that we are going to be in a title race next year or whatever, these kind of games are a reality check. We just don't have the quality that top teams have to win games like these we are controlling. Sometimes yes, but nowhere near often enough. Long journey and the squad will be million miles better in 3-4 years time. Just like it is already million miles better than when Eddie started. Only have to look at Arsenal this season and last season to know that even having the squad and the players isn't a guarantee of winning anything. Same goes for Liverpool in a those few seasons losing out to City. Improvement is all we need right now.

Magpie Mover
And to think he only secured the job after first Rafael Benítez and then Unai Emery rejected it. Maresca has infinitely more to lose from this high-noon, high-stakes duel, with its subplot of an attacking beauty contest involving Isak and Cole Palmer. Louise Taylor From a preview in the Guardian of the game on Sunday. I don't remember hearing that Rafa turned the job down??

I think it was fairly widely reported that pre-Bruce being sacked Rafa was approached and had made clear to Staveley that he wouldn't leave Everton. Coffee_Johnny
What was said that triggered emotion in the press conference? Looked like he was going to go/was close to tears. Surprised they didn’t go back to it.

HalloNUFC
Testing a new formation right before the most/2nd most important match of the season?! I don't have any words other than praying for Howe being the genius we all think.

The most important game of the season was against Liverpool in the cup final, and we played this formation against Arsenal at the Emirates in January. The College Dropout
I became a full Howe acolyte after the league cup final. I knew he would find a way. He delivered. The boys delivered.

Amir_9
Absolutely got it spot on today He's still improving and learning and it's so clear to see. No doubt will end up being one of the best English coaches (even though kind of already is) this country has ever seen when you look at his career years down the line. I've had doubts in the past during his difficult periods but he's proven all doubters wrong again and again. Edited May 11 by Amir_9
Infinitely Content
Won't be, but should be manager of the year if we do get the Champions League place. His achievement is more impressive than that of Slot. Easily one of the best managers in Europe.
