Really don't see this one on him, tbh. He's played a strong team but the players haven't delivered any moments of quality despite having had plenty of the ball and opportunities to make it count.

Joelinton & ASM have been anonymous which is even worse than playing poorly.

Nonsense.

Overly reliant on decent players putting in a shift/being available. There's no real sense of a system being implemented to get the results we need.

He's had enough time now to coach attacking movement and so on though, the final third decision making shouldn't be that hard to iron out. We're playing Cambridge ffs

Because we can also make judgements on tactics, patterns of play etc and not just look at selection and personnel.

It's not primarily decision making though. It's poor touches, heavy passes, shite attempts to finish chances.

Yeah agreed. These are all things Howe was supposedly good at coaching and improving in players.

Agreed. The players are absolutely hopeless. The fact we have absolutely peppered their goal with shit quality speaks volumes for me.

They’re bad but are they getting schooled by Cambridge bad? At what point does the accumulation of bad decisions become bad management? Suppose we will find out by February.

Thats game was our season in a microcosm, players unable to finish, unable to take a touch, unable to put the ball in the net, and a gifted chance at the other end from our shitty defense. This players are unbelievably hopeless, the lack of quality is actually astounding. Can't even blame Howe for it, as tactically we where fine and dominated the game, players where in the spaces need to be to score a good 4/5 chances, but we where too shite to do anything with it.

One crumb of comfort is it'll probable be the last time Longstaff ever starts a game for us. But as for Howe, it's all been a bit meh up to now, feels like a stopgap appointment.

Were we schooled? I saw a questionable offside goal for them and very little else. I did however see over hit passes, misses from 6 yards, 2 disallowed goals and a great save at the end there.

Confidence in front of goal has been the biggest factor today like, with a decent striker on the pitch we would've put the game to bed comfortably.  He literally has no viable options up top so it's difficult to be too critical until that problem is solved.
