Armchair Pundit Posted yesterday at 17:23 Share Posted yesterday at 17:23 (edited) Seems to be more and more pneumonia and sepsis hitting younger people these days, regardless of working activity, fitness or anything else. My mother-in-law passed away from pneumonia at 72 last year out of the blue, she was reasonably average in terms of health, nothing untoward, hope Eddie gets well soon and the hospital treats it properly. Dokko Posted yesterday at 17:23 Share Posted yesterday at 17:23 Thankfully he's on the mend, and will be back soon enough. Not much is going to change in his absence, and I'd be surprised if he was completely absent in that time (though he really should be). Tindall handled the game, and especially the subs very well yesterday.

It can, depending on severity of it and if he's got anything pre existing. He should be fine as he's in hospital.

LiquidAK Posted yesterday at 17:47 Share Posted yesterday at 17:47 Glad it's not anything more serious (not that pneumonia isn't very serious, it can be and is) - hope he gets better soon, he's leaving the team in good hands.
The College Dropout Posted yesterday at 17:49 Share Posted yesterday at 17:49 Serious but shouldn’t be world ending. I didn’t think it would be something minor, someone like Eddie wouldn’t be hospitalised because of the flu. Get better Eddie.

Hope he gives himself a proper holiday over the summer First thought that went through my head. At least it wasn't earlier in the season or I could imagine him being the type to force himself back at the first opportunity even if not 100% and never giving himself a proper break to recover. Fingers crossed Tindall and the team can deliver another 6 points and a cushion from the chasing pack so he doesn't feel under pressure to return any sooner than he should. 80 Posted yesterday at 19:02 Share Posted yesterday at 19:02 Just echoing other comments. Glad it looks like he'll get over it, but hope he'll take as long as necessary to sort himself. Fortunately, I'd say we're in about as good a position as possible to let him do that. Strong, well managed backroom staff that he's spent years training. Self governing squad thanks to excellent characters like Burn, Trippier, Bruno and Lascelles. And near the end of an already successful season where so much of the preparatory physical and tactical work has already been done. Hope you're feeling better soon Eddie. Pilko Posted yesterday at 19:05 Share Posted yesterday at 19:05 The best leaders can be identified by how things run in their absence. You just know there'll be a meticulous plan and rhythm in place that Tindall and Jones can pick up and execute.
