Hope he gets plenty of rest and if he needs to take the rest of the season off to recover he definitely should. Get well soon gaffa!

Yeah I hope so too - can take weeks to recover from it.

Seems to be more and more pneumonia and sepsis hitting younger people these days, regardless of working activity, fitness or anything else. My mother-in-law passed away from pneumonia at 72 last year out of the blue, she was reasonably average in terms of health, nothing untoward, hope Eddie gets well soon and the hospital treats it properly.

Thankfully he's on the mend, and will be back soon enough. Not much is going to change in his absence, and I'd be surprised if he was completely absent in that time (though he really should be). Tindall handled the game, and especially the subs very well yesterday.

It can, depending on severity of it and if he's got anything pre existing.

He should be fine as he's in hospital.

Right, and as a former footballer and someone who seems in pretty good shape he should 100% recover one would suspect.

It’s definitely a relief but it can be tough to shift Pneumonia, people can have recurrent spells but I imagine Eddie looks after himself better than most. Hope he gives himself a proper holiday over the summer

First thought that went through my head. At least it wasn't earlier in the season or I could imagine him being the type to force himself back at the first opportunity even if not 100% and never giving himself a proper break to recover.

Fingers crossed Tindall and the team can deliver another 6 points and a cushion from the chasing pack so he doesn't feel under pressure to return any sooner than he should.

Just echoing other comments. Glad it looks like he'll get over it, but hope he'll take as long as necessary to sort himself.

Fortunately, I'd say we're in about as good a position as possible to let him do that. Strong, well managed backroom staff that he's spent years training. Self governing squad thanks to excellent characters like Burn, Trippier, Bruno and Lascelles. And near the end of an already successful season where so much of the preparatory physical and tactical work has already been done.

Hope you're feeling better soon Eddie.
