I have absolutely no doubt he would turn it down. It's just not what he wants or needs.

 

He's an obsessive, he needs the day to day interaction.

It's not just the wages, it's releasing him from his contract. 

I'm fairly confident Howe would turn it down regardless. There's a reason you rarely see top flight managers move mid-contract from club to country.

I don't think he'll take it but I'd have to be stupid to write it off as a possibility

Solanke has more than doubled his value and is still only 26. Also cost ~£15m which really isn't much for a PL striker.

 

Looks pretty fucking good if those are the big misses alongside Ibe.

It'll be Carsley imo, which while people would scoff at, wouldn't be a bad appointment, won the under 21's last year, plays fluid and attractive football, and keeps the continuity going for a lot of the players in the squad which the FA are big on.

Exactly, if Guardiola wasn't favourite for the Spain job then I don't see why Howe would be favourite for the England job. Both are top managers doing a great job a their clubs and therefore won't be considering moving into international management.

From Eddie's perspective, you cannot pick and choose when opportunities like this come up.
