We’ve been playing shit since Aug, that’s not down to the competitiveness of the league, it’s down to us being shit.

And us being shit for multiple games is down to the players and the management

I like Eddie a lot and would give him a massive amount of leeway, but I can see with my own eyes that we’re shit in far too many games

This isn’t a blip, it’s now become the norm

No, I agree it is the norm but it’s also part of the process. Have to take the summer into consideration, having all this money and not being able to spend it means we can’t improve on our team.

We can have more than zero shots against Palace though

Gordon is a big problem for him - time for the bench imo, far too much is breaking down due to him. Did do well for the goal but just about awful apart from that.

Hope we persist with some combination of Willock-Tonali-Bruno - the combo will come good.

The 4-3-3 has been figured out by every team in the league. He needs to refresh us. Heard an interview with Glasner before the game and he pretty much said exactly what our formation was going to be, who was going to be playing where and what their individual roles will be for us.

This for me. Too predictable. No plan B. And I really like Eddie... what he's done for us, he will always have my love (like Rafa).

Not a chance Willock should be starting after last couple games. He’s been so poor.

I don't want him out. He needs to accept things aren't working now. Need to see an improvement in the next month.

He needs to find a way to start Barnes and Tonali.

This, The summer window was a car crash that wasn't down to him, Jan will be huge and i hope we move on a few players

Anyone think he lost the dressing room?

Personally I don't think so.

I think the issue is that we've gone hard at the Champions League qualification, attracted the likes of Bruno, Isak to achieve that, which we did. The problem is we've gone backwards since then so how do you re-motivate those players? I think missing out on Europe all together has been a pretty big psychological blow to our top players and that's reflected in their performances. Could they be casting jealous eyes at other players at other clubs? If you're even 10% off it at PL level, it'll show.

Now it'd be absolutely fair to say that the players should still be able to motivate themselves to go again but we all know it isn't that simple.

Depends who you believe as Mitchell basically refuted what Howe was saying

I'm really starting to feel like poor individual performances are costing him more than anything. Some of the stuff we've seen from Bruno and Gordon - two of our most important players last season - has been really inexplicable and nothing to do with coaching or tactics. They just don't look like very good players at all this season. It's hard to account for your best players just not doing it at all as a manager.

If that's true, the answer is to sell them and start again. Although underperforming players inevitably drop in value so not ideal to sell in those circumstances, but not really sure what choice we have. They are on too much wedge now to be performing consistently poorly.

I think there's quite a few players who have lost faith in the project and are looking elsewhere. The position we were in in the summer, I think a fair few players were touted around to get us out of our PSR mess, players who have served us well who will be more than miffed that their contribution and commitment has been disregarded.

I think they still have faith in Howe, so I don't think he has lost the dressing room, more that the higher ups have.

Not even questioning Eddie, don’t even come into this thread.

Prem’s just very competitive at the moment and in any other season, say, game week 13 of the 98/99 season, a team would be 7th with a points total of 19.

Our upcoming two months of fixtures look promising and maybe a five game win streak could shoot you up the league, which I do think this team of capable of.

Whoever said, Mourinho, no. That would send up club into a tailspin. We have to look at the long term project. Eddie’s our guy and we’re supporting him all the way.

Upcoming two months of fixtures may be good, but our last two fixtures were good and we haven’t looked like scoring in the main.

That doesn't explain the inability of the team in general to string a few passes together.

We haven't at all. W6 D2 L2 with 2.6 goals per game since (and including) the West Ham Barnes game.

We weren't really shit at all last season, we finished 7th with a huge points haul relative to our modern history.

This season is a different story. We got problems with less (not zero) mitigation.

Aye, but after the injury carnage of last season I was hoping to wipe the slate clean over the summer and see more of a 22/23 NUFC ethos this season

But we’ve been properly honking
