nemtizz Posted Sunday at 20:39 Share Posted Sunday at 20:39 Don't forget the amount of points we stole at the start of the season. Can't remember the first legit good performance Arsenal at home maybe?
nemtizz Posted Sunday at 20:40 Share Posted Sunday at 20:40 (edited) Probably Forest away overall. EDIT: Response to people saying we should have more points, not a criticism towards Howe, etc Edited Sunday at 20:42 by nemtizz

Dokko Posted Sunday at 20:47 Share Posted Sunday at 20:47 I honestly couldn't care less. Win, lose or draw. We won a cup. Nothing else matters this season. No fucks given.

SiLvOR Posted Sunday at 20:56 Share Posted Sunday at 20:56 After that wobble where Eddie was getting questioned by a lot of people (myself included) he's answered by getting a trophy, and having CL in our hands. I had long given up on CL, in fact it didn't even enter my thoughts for a long time. So, while today is frustrating, (as always against that fucking club), this is still an amazing season and Eddie has done a ridiculously good job with such a thin squad. Desperately hope he's backed in the summer.
Geogaddi Posted Sunday at 21:15 Share Posted Sunday at 21:15 You can tell people who know football and those that don't when they question Eddie after a few bad results .
80 Posted Sunday at 22:33 Share Posted Sunday at 22:33 Haven't seen anyone questioning Eddie, but that's because I haven't been looking. Crazy if people are getting that upset by today's result. It's a pity, but we're a very good team with clearly the best manager out of the remaining 3 opponents we have and a huge amount still to play for - we're 1/4 on with the bookies still apparently. This is strictly not the time to panic.
elbee909 Posted Sunday at 22:37 Share Posted Sunday at 22:37 We just want a team that tries! But also that doesn't fail to get 3 points every time as well
Shearergol Posted Sunday at 22:46 Share Posted Sunday at 22:46 Our squad is a bit shit. Our manager is a bit world class.
Ellis H Posted Sunday at 22:46 Share Posted Sunday at 22:46 Since the last Brighton game 2 months ago… Won 7 Drawn 1 Lost 1 Trophies 1 Realistically he’s doing as well as he can, maybe more so considering he was very ill in hospital for some of that. Doubting him just makes you look exceptionally stupid.
Ketsbaia Posted Sunday at 22:50 Share Posted Sunday at 22:50 It is kind of insane that a defensive core of Pope/Dubravka, Schar and Burn is fighting for Champions League spots, mind. And then Murphy on the right. Puts perspective on things a bit.

We've got an excellent manager but we don't have a shit squad - we've got a first rate first XI and a handful of good back ups.

KingArthur Posted Monday at 05:19 Share Posted Monday at 05:19 Sadly, when some people say that we are going to be in a title race next year or whatever, these kind of games are a reality check. We just don't have the quality that top teams have to win games like these we are controlling. Sometimes yes, but nowhere near often enough. Long journey and the squad will be million miles better in 3-4 years time. Just like it is already million miles better than when Eddie started. Only have to look at Arsenal this season and last season to know that even having the squad and the players isn't a guarantee of winning anything. Same goes for Liverpool in a those few seasons losing out to City. Improvement is all we need right now.

Magpie Mover
And to think he only secured the job after first Rafael Benítez and then Unai Emery rejected it. Maresca has infinitely more to lose from this high-noon, high-stakes duel, with its subplot of an attacking beauty contest involving Isak and Cole Palmer. Louise Taylor From a preview in the Guardian of the game on Sunday. I don't remember hearing that Rafa turned the job down??

I think it was fairly widely reported that pre-Bruce being sacked Rafa was approached and had made clear to Staveley that he wouldn't leave Everton.
