That’s what Howe wanted, I just don’t think it was realistic. Every manager wants their players in as soon as possible, very rarely happens. Maybe showing a bit of ambition and intention early in the market would have convinced him (and others) that this club is moving in the right direction. 9 weeks since the Everton game and for all the talk of who we've targeted, player lists, PSR, not meeting valuations we've brought in 1 single player. He saw the celebrations for the cup in and out of the ground and in the city. He knows when he’s on fire he can help us beat anyone. He knows his teammates can beat anyone. what he doesn’t have is an extra 150k or some odd a week and that’s what’s pissing him off. and yes, a few signings early window would have gone some way. Im not surprised it’s a mess behind the scenes and he’s been forced to pitch in beyond his role. The summer transfer window has also been a disaster so far (some of that possibly down to him too to be fair). I do worry that might opt for a new challenge at some point.
