Game obviously flipped with Pope’s error but I’ll be honest the performance and incoherency in our play second half was really shocking.

Losing faith a bit now, we look far too soft.

Come on - was a decent performance 1st half and it took a mistake from Pope to gift them a game.  Could see the heads drop when it went it.

oh FFS, they've been asked by some of you clowns since the 23-24.

Pope I give you. But FFS do you want him to run Woltemade into the ground before Wissa is back? there's obvious logic in the decision. It's a stopgap to protect our one fit striker.

.I understand resting Woltemade but Gordons not the answer, thats been proven

He's accountable to the away form like, definitely. I thought he had us set up fine enough, but there is obviously a fundamental issue in the heart of the whole set-up which means we cannot do a fucking thing on the road. I don't know how you identify it or how you fix it, but hopefully he can and will.

Thought the first set of second half subs were bizarre but we looked much better after the next raft of changes.

For everyone whinging - exactly what was Howe meant to do? Play Woltemade tonight, in a game we would of liked to win, but didn't have to win or run NickW into the ground and he be shite against Everton at the weekend, and lose in the Prem away again?

He has no other strikers fit, who else is he going to play up front? Barnes? Elanga? Sean Neave?

Tonight was a gamble based on a squad teetering on the brink of loads of injuries, hes trying to learn from the last campaign and not play the same 11 into the ground every week.

Yes. This is the Champions League, we have seen what not playing him offers us and according to Howe Wissa is nearly fit in anyway.

Any fucking team in the Champions League if battling with a decision to play their start forward in the Champions League, or at the weekend against Everton picks in the Champions League.

Please come up with a different game plan in away games.

Score > sit back and absorb pressure that we cannot do well > concede > concede again > wait until 60th minute for subs > lose.

Pope bares the brunt of the blame of course for yet another fuck up but we seem to do the same thing all the time away.

Guardiola benched Haaland. It cost him as well. But unlike some of you guys, these coaches are considering a 50 game season.

But its a league, and were doing well in the champions league, and are desperate for points in the Prem?

And everyone would whing to high hell if we put Gordon, of all people, up front against Everton away?

Mate, you need to chill before you have a heart attack. You sound like you're heart rate is at 200bpm.

absolutely they would be complaining. Never thought I'd say this, but I am just tired of the football section. It's the sport equivalent of reading the Ukraine or Gaza thread.

Got it spot on first half, 20 seconds after half-time Pope loses his mind and we concede a second while utterly rattled.

Got it wrong second half chasing the game as we never looked like getting back into it but I don't know what I'd have done much differently tbh. That he had to resort to Miley at RB says it all as far as options go.

Not laying this one at his door. Bet I know a few people who will mind, they do want him to succeed of course, promise.

Hard to say how he fixes the away form as we are clearly a different team mentally, but the first step for me is to ditch the five at the back idea.

Line up and approach the games as we do at home until it works. Having half of the outfield positions occupied by defenders just naturally encourages us to sit back and try to protect. Then when it inevitably goes wrong, it's hard to get momentum again.

Our centre halves are all good defenders. We don't need three of them on the pitch.

We just look so horrendously slow and uninspiring when we play through the middle. It's infuriating.

Can't wait to see the back of Gordon. His permanent place in the lineup despite providing next to nowt is casting a long shadow over the whole team.

once again, there is no damn answer right now. The one answer we have is not fucking burn our one fit striker out. The logic is very easy to see. We were afforded a fuck up in the CL because we put ourselves in a decent position. The league is going to need enough relatively rested players who aren't filler. We've fucked up too much in the league at this point.
