Nowt like an overreaction lads.

I have an alternative… we beat Fulham and Chelsea at home this week and all of sudden everything is back on track.

We know it’s a transition season… do we really need to throw shit around after every negative performance.

He’s been praised more than any Newcastle manager in our history and rightfully so, the fans love him.

He’s gonna get criticised when his team serves up anything like that today.

We won't beat Chelsea. Certainly not if we perform like we have been

The shit frustrating performances have far outweighed the good ones this season.

If we don't pick up and finish top 7 at the end of the season I unfortunately wonder if it's time to look elsewhere.

I say that as someone who fucking loves Eddie, and will never forget what he's done for us.

Maybes he gets next season, and hope we do what villa are doing without Europe.

He still has the rest of the season from me but I am not convinced he can turn it around, I also wouldn’t blame the board if they moved him on before the January window opens.

I knew as soon as he brought Willock on that we wouldn’t see Woltemade tucked in behind Wissa, instead we went with the same set up hoping it would come good.

If this is people's genuine feelings then for them an overreaction is simply a reaction.

I love Howe but as supporting Newcastle and have done my entire life of 51 years, this project since the takeover is about take us forward and at some point a change in management will be likely and people will always have different opinions on when that day is. That's one of the things that keeps football and it's forums like this fresh. I always said I wouldn't flip on one local derby but it's performance after performance these days that's getting doubt set in now.

What are we supposed to be transitioning to? This is a season where we were supposed to be kicking on after having had more PSR room in the summer.

The formation and style of play needs to change. Our way of playing is incredibly predictable as we've been doing the same thing for 3 seasons now.

The biggest worry for me is we still don't look comfortable retaining possession and moving the ball from back to front. We're always on the edge of a panicky touch or pass due to indecision. That shouldn't be the case so far into our evolution.

I lost faith in him early last season to my detriment but if I’m being honest we’ve been much worse this season than we were at any point before that winter winning run. And in the context of the money spent and finally having a free hit with PSR, that’s inexcusable tbph.

We are really fucking bad to watch, offer very little going forward when the onus is on us and the away record is abysmal. We’re a fortnight from Christmas and he hasn’t been able to show that he can provide any kind of answers.

Not an overreaction at all. That performance was cowardly and a total shitshow. There have been far too many negative performances that is the problem. You're going to find it hard having a transitional season, when you when you wasting over 100 million on absolute shit. PIFs five year plan is based on continuous top European football every season. You mention Fulham and Chelsea, I honestly think he might be gone if we get beat next weekend. It's not good enough and hasn't been all season.

But Villa are doing it with Europe, albeit a lesser competition. That’s the difference. We do it in the seasons we don’t have to play midweek games but throw in 8 extra fixtures and we crumble.

I wouldn't want him replaced with whoever's available don't get me wrong, it would still be a very big call, but someone like Glasner or Iraola come immediately to mind.

You make an excellent point though, we've seen behind the scenes at the club is nowhere near either, it's all a bit of a mess to be honest, we can't even do being filthy rich right.

We've built a shambles tbh. But it's Eddie's Shambles we've built and this is a big part of the problem. I really hope he turns it around because as a club it's what we need. Ultimately we bet the house on Eddie and gave him the keys but this experiment is starting to look rocky.

First time I've started to feel that Howe is running out of ideas and the players aren't finding that extra drive to see or games.

His ability to develop players has been seconds to none but with minimal training time due to european commitments, it may just be his level is getting teams to Europe but not able to take a team much further.

At any rate he deserves the rest of the season to see it out and try to turn it around still

Forget the fact it's a derby. They aren't a good side (we're obviously not great either) and we need points on the board. Why are we regressing tactically?

Sunderland, Brentford, West Ham, Bournemouth, Brighton = 1 point.. Pathetic

You've only got to look at the way other clubs bounce around from one manager to the next to see that a hasty sacking him would be in no one's interests at all.

Right now it does kinda feel like we're in the universe where the Isak debacle is the turning point, and Howe's Newcastle doesn't recover from that blow. But my preference is that we wait and see if we're in the universe where we actually defy the odds and go on to defend the League Cup. I couldn't really give a monkeys about the league finish if that happened.

Absolute sickener today, and easily the closest I've ever felt to answering the question differently. But I still have faith. There's still Wissa to get integrated, for one thing.

You didn't get the it's ALL isaks and Mitchell's fault memo and everything that's gone badly is solely that?

Hang on I'll Pm you it so your fully aware.

At this juncture he's really on borrowed time.

If he's idea of approaching a derby is to sit back and counter then his time may be up sooner than he thinks.

Maybe it's own weak mentality that is making the entire team just torrid to watch this season. And mentally so weak.

Tough one for me, if we do get rid who is better? That's the problem. I do think we need to planning for life after Eddie though. We've been poor almost all season with a couple of high points, I'm usually incredibly reactionary and get really wound up when we lose and honestly today I just expected it which is a really awful situation to be in when you think where we were last year and where Sunderland were. I'm really dissapointed but I expect very little from the team at the minute.

Suppose I’ll give my customary Howe post so that everyone can get behind him once again.

Good performance against City and an easy trip to the scouse mackems but aside from that we’ve been utter shit, even against Burnley.

We seem to have lost eveything we were good at. No ideas, it’s stale, shit transfers and we just look devoid of any sort of attacking plan.

The team rely on the safety of the home crowd and fall to pieces away even just a short trip down the road.

It’s not good enough. There’s no evidence of any real progress and the whole argument of “once Wissa is back we’ll be good” has zero value as he won’t be getting any service with such a shit midfield/wing play.

I love the man for everything he’s done for the club and as a person he’s very likeable but how long can we allow the decline to continue?

It seems more and more like the players have lost faith too.

We need a rebuild which is mental considering what we spent over the summer. I don’t trust him to choose or give the go ahead on players who will make a difference.

You run out of luck eventually and those runs we’ve gone on to save seasons was never going to be sustainable.

Be surprised if he gets sacked before end of season but they must surely be looking at the summer now.
