Hopefully anyone booing his subs stays well away tomorrow night. Appreciate that it’s been frustrating at times, but that shit was acceptable for idiots like Pardew and Allardyce not Howe.

People were booing his subs at the Palace match?

Yeah some guy 3 seats away from me was going mad when Tonali got subbed also spent the game criticising Murphy every time he made a mistake . Having said that it wasn't the usual person that sits in that seat and I have never seen him before so tells you the type of "fan" he is .

I visited the Man U Red Cafe fans forum and saw their poll for next permanent manager. Interestingly, Eddie figured well down the list, with only 2% of the vote. The popular choices were foreign managers like Luis Enrique, Emery and Tuchel. I think Eddie's reputation is affected by the idea that foreign managers are more sophisticated and clever whereas British managers have too much of the Mike Bassett about them.

Eddie's modest, reserved demeanour also suggest wrongly that he's too nice to succeed at the very top. Simon Jordan in particular seems to cling on to this idea that we'll need someone that bit better to make that jump to the elite, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

I was quite happy with the choice of Eddie once it was made, but beforehand, looking back, I think he was a bit of a 'second choice' in my head. Somehow, I wanted someone with 'a little bit more', if you get my drift.

I see things differently now, but long may Eddie continue to be passed over by other clubs in favour of more glamorous options.

Audible boos when Tonali came off.

Deary me. I thought Tonali was absolute pish (based on his very high standards) and the obvious one of the three to take out of there.

Aye, was a uniquely awful performance. Every single thing he did went wrong and a lot of it was simple. Still love the lad for his crossing but we all know he shouldn’t be first choice. Just turns out he’s better than second choice at the moment

I've not been to a huge amount of games this season (just Bradford and Barcelona I think), it's not always easy to get tickets, I enter every ballot, but it's luck of the draw really, so sentiment might have changed, but at Bradford there was one absolute melt sat a couple of rows in front of me absolutely raging about everything, every mistake from our players and every decision the ref made, full on losing the plot and screaming about everything. I just took from that, that he was an idiot rather than the fanbase as a whole being dissatisfied. Everyone else seemed fine, some quiet muttering as always when someone did something poor, but no-one else actually having a go at the players or booing decisions. There's always idiots, best to just ignore them.

I am from Durham originally though, so am now worried about how I sound at games!
