Zero
16 minutes ago, Cronky said: I'm a bit surprised and disappointed about the results of the poll. Surely Eddie has done more than enough to earn our trust. We're struggling in games when we're up against teams who have longer to rest and prepare. Brentford was a good example of that. When we play in midweek, we do better (eg in the Champions League games), because the playing field in respect of physical fitness is more level. When Eddie came here, he put his reputation on the line for a club that looked certain to go down. That would have been two successive relegations for him - practically career suicide. The guy is special and we need to back him through the hard times. we are in heaven when we won the last game, and we are in hell when we lost the last game look at the player threads. Look at Ramsay, Gordon, Barnes, Nick. I know being football fans you have to have passion to enjoy the game, but that doesn’t mean you can be that fucking impatient to the point that you simply ignore the reality. luckily football clubs ain’t run by fans. Kimbo
Isn’t the poll largely supportive? A small minority would get rid, while a lot would like him to stay but think certain things need fixing, which isn’t unreasonable.
Slim
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRyWusxW/ A little bit of context when people are complaining about us amd ready-made premier League players. Ange says finish 5th and the only way to compete for the premier League is to sign ready-made premier League players but they didn't have the salary budget and mentioned the same players we were going for. It's obvious. It's what those clubs do - they go and get the best PL players on the market. We tried to behave like that but it's impossible because PSR funnels those players to the chosen few. So we got the 'next best' PL players on the market; i.e. Wissa, Elanga, Ramsey as opposed to Pedro, Mbeumo, Eze. It's a pity the players haven't performed but anyone knocking the strategy isn't cutting the club though slack imo.

If you can't get the best players from the PL, don't get the also-rans, get the best options from overseas. They will almost certainly cost less and the time it takes them to adapt will be offset by their higher ceiling. We've essentially signed players who are never going to be good enough for where we want to be, and paid a fortune for them.

Well firstly, the 'best options from overseas' isn't a market which is available to us either, certainly not in terms of strikers (hence Woltemade instead of Ekitike). You're saying there's two categories of players we could target: A; 'best of the rest' PL players, who have already proven themselves in this league, and B; 'best of the rest' overseas players, who haven't proved a thing in this league. I don't know how category A is the worst strategic option there. It's a bit of a moot point anyway because we shopped in both markets last summer; which seems to get forgotten about when folks have got tunnel vision re their PrEmIeR lEaGuE pRoVeN jibe. I’ve always thought that there’s probably not many clubs to play for than NUFC when things are going well, but sadly the opposite when things aren’t. One extreme to the other. I blame social media, for all I use Twitter a lot it’s still a bit of a cesspit of divvies.

We signed Isak, Botman, Tonali and Bruno from overseas. All signed for smaller fees relative to their quality, and all has played a huge part in our success. I don't think we would get any of those if they were already in the PL, especially not for that price. The only PL signings we've made that can compare to these is Hall and Livra, both bought as talents with high future potensial. When you see underdogs punching way above their weight in the PL, it almost allways involves bargains from overseas. Sure, he was a fantastic signing, but the players I mentioned are the type of players that bigger clubs would at some point pay a lot more than what we paid to buy them from us. That was never the case with Burn. I guess it was the case with Gordon once upon a time.

If he was younger his performances would have definitely warranted those clubs paying more for him. Agreed on Gordon. And still think many of them would take him for significantly more than we paid for him.
