Alex Mc Leish , Michael Laudrup and Steve McClaren won the same cup.. Roberto Martinez, Rodgers and Glasner won the FA Cup and they all got/will get peddled by their clubs We cant afford blind loyalty. We have to be ruthless going forward..Our chairman made a public declaration that he wants us to be #1 Time to start acting it. How many Champions League campaigns did those managers achieve ?
Antipode23
I could be 'Eddie in' if he was willing to change his approach in some fundamental areas. Sadly, the evidence suggests he can't or won't.
Doctor Zaius
3 minutes ago, Kid Icarus said: Stuff like this is inconveniently true imo. It's never accepted as a legitimate excuse like, same thing happened in 23/24. Our style of play isn't suitable for it and he's unable to implement anything with these players that mitigates it. Then there's shit like playing a largely full strength side against Qarabag in a tie that was already won of course. You're right that the same thing happened in 23/24 in that he cannot manage a season with European football. Same thing will happen the next time we get into Europe under Howe

We need a new training ground and maybe a new stadium but outside of that the owners supported Howe massively in the transfer window last summer, we spent a fortune. I can't get my head around this like. How did they back him in the summer? That's not what happened at all and it's becoming mental the way in which what actually happened is ignored even after it's brought up.
Keggy_Keagal
The frustrations with Eddie regarding the side are when it's the same errors again and again season after season. The middle of the park is so often an issue with the flat three being problematic for over 2 seasons . Tonali being immense second half of last season for large periods covered over that. The issues with performances after half time. The subs and the timings of them. The favourites thing (ie: when Barnes was superb on the left and Gordon would start regardless of form as soon as available) . Game load for players , at times it's like watching they shoot horses they don't they with some players never being rested properly. When we're strolling against say Qurabag and players are kept on or started being a specific example. The management of players returning from injury Joelinton being one such example when he first came back from his long injury spell this season , was playing game after game until he broke down. Menace
This whole "we have played too many games and are struggling" is a complete cop out when we fail to strengthen via taking cheap punts abroad or even trying to utilise the loan market.

JoeyBartoon
13 league defeats is a shocking return with the amount of money he’s spent. He’d be out of a job at most clubs so see don’t see why it should be any different here. Looks a broken man at the post match stuff
Guillaume
Massive fan of Eddie, and think all this "Sack him tonight" talk is ridiculous, but for the first time I'm actually thinking if he went tomorrow I wouldn't be upset. Feel like he's costing us a lot of points but. Next season the last chance?

Dava1892
Glad the poll for Eddie how still has the majority backing of he’s still the man. The bed wetters have increased by around 30 after today 😂 Edited March 22 by Dava1892
Keggy_Keagal
The problem we have is that is the board going to trust him with the money to do the rebuild that we clearly need this summer? Or are they going to think it's better to start with a new manager and a rebuild ? A new manager gets time , even in the face of a weak start next season, whereas Eddie doesn't. The manager should only be a part of the transfer picture anyway, if it’s functioning properly.
llcoolc157
Completely lacking in game management… last minute goals conceded against Man city (cup), Barcelona (cup) home and 1st half away and now today… We lack a real leader in goal and centre half, forget about a young potential talent, get a proper leader in at centre half, someone who’ll bring the other players on..
