If you have no faith in the higher ups getting someone more qualified, why would you want his position to be up for review?

Yeah, bizarre thing to say.

Howe conducted himself with class as always in his presser. Seems as determined as ever to fix things. No excuses from now until the end of the season, hope the players react for him.

Interesting comments about expectations needing to be reassessed if top players are sold in the Summer so the players are able to play with freedom.

I don’t know. I think a lot of people here expected us to get 3 points against Palace.

And I can foresee what’s it’s like here if we lose this game.

Because I'm not happy with Howe moving forward, if we had a cut throat CEO with EPL experience I personally think he'd be gone end of season.

Howe will be judged on the season, not on one game. That's how it should be as well. Still 7 games to go, we can finish strong and that will lift a lot of the gloom.

Nah, people talking shit there but deep

down I know a lot of people really expect Howe to make a turn around and get back the Euro spot.

And that’s why I know there’s nothing but a terrible shitstorm here if we don’t get this upcoming 3 points.

man. Please win the next game Eddie.

Kind of not bothered how these final games go, in a strange way. Obviously I would prefer we played well, won points and ultimately got some kind of European position. Either way I expect Eddie to be here and to lead us into next season so it feels lower stakes than it might otherwise.

I'm more concerned about the player turnover in the summer and whether we'll make moves to fix some of the underlying issues with the side, like the midfield getting ran through at will, the goalkeeper and striker conundrum, and our overall poor levels of technical ability with the ball.

I want Europe because I want Bruno to stay, but I'll not be gutted if that Europe isn't the CL.

Europa is the sweet spot for us right now I reckon.  Still a pretty well respected competition and you'll get some challenging ties but at the same time you've got a realistic shot at winning it.

Who would you replace him with?

Some will say its not good enough. Some will say Howe should get next season to turn it around. Its the same debate over and over.

Howe with another impeccable presser. He deals with any potentially disturbing questions almost perfectly.

I particularly liked his answer on dealing with his best players potentially being sold off. He was just honest and said he's dealt with it all his career, and if that's what the club has to do, then that's what the club has to do. But it just has to line up with expectations of the players who are here, and that is spot on.

Top press conference as always. Might be naive but it does sound like he has a good relationship with Wilson and Hopkinson. Of course he can’t say anything else but it sounds encouraging.

I just don’t know why it’s group think. Who is the group? But I understood what she was asking. Probably would’ve been better asking something more focused (lol) about if Howe saw his potential to lead the line again at some point soon.
