If you can watch that ( and many other performances like that ) today and not even slightly question howe potentially coming to the end of his time then you are blinkered and naive

Questioning whether he will and wanting him to are completely different things. I've already said based on Hopkinson's interview that I think he'll go, that doesn't mean I think the decision in itself isn't mental though.

Still for me he deserves a transfer window and a start of next season.

I didn’t catch any of the match today but but not surprised to read it was pretty much more of the same. The lineup didn’t scream changes and it worries me for Howe.

Mostly hoping it doesn’t turn toxic towards him because he deserves better even if results and performances have been shite.

Why do the howe backers have no faith in the club bringing in a great manager should howe leave?

They've only had to recruit one time for a manager and it was between emery and howe.

Because the people who picked him arent running the club anymore?

Teams struggle sometimes.

Some fans would kick out even Pep and Ancelotti if they took over and had two back to back home draws.

It's beyond fickle to blame the manager for all of our problems.  Scapegoating.

Posting hyperbolic nonsense based on absolutely no evidence doesn’t make your point any more valid.

Yes they are. Reuben wanted him the Saudis wanted emery.

Two great picks at the time they weren't lining up Gary megson and pulis where they?

Would it be upto Ross Wilson?

If so whats his track record with managers?

Yep, personally think they run through us next week.

If the Bournemouth game goes the way many of us expect, it’s going to get ugly in the stands very quickly.

That could be the moment where it really dawns on Howe that he’s passed the point of no return and resigns

That said… it’s so nailed-on defeat that we’ll probably turn up and win 3–0 just to confuse everyone 😉

Im not saying Iarola wouldn’t improve us, just don’t think currently you can say he definitely better because they are above us. Fwiw if Howe goes, I’d pick Iraola to replace him.

If the club want Iraola they'd have to move quick

I agree with this. My concern is getting the right players in. We can't afford to swing and miss twice.

In what way exactly? Iraola is above him, Maresca, Xavi and Pochetino have won more trophies.

Come on, Iraola being above him when the season is ongoing doesn’t mean he is better. Maresca hasn’t won a major trophy, Poch won a one horse league.

True but in this one example, it's irrelevent.

Iraiola is a minger so his achievements are meaningless.

Nothing that a trip to Turkey or even a few teeth whitening strips wouldn't sort.

I still think he has earned another shot next season, but if we don't finish well, I don't see how it works. The board will want to go in a different direction as far as signings go, and I don't think Howe will accept players he doesn't think fit his system.

What a load of shite. Most entitled?

Maybe sit this one out, for once. Because every page is you...going on like a Russian bot. Insulting the fans over and over. Like you're above everyone.

You couldn't wait to come straight in here to piss on everyone for having completely normal feelings. Fans responding emotionally to a game built around the very emotions of fans. Fans who have no influence on the money machine, and only have the 90 mins as entertainment.

This is fucking rancid. Treating people like shit, to solely protect your opinion, makes you the lowest of low.

 Get a grip man. Everyone hates plastics, it's not remotely controversial.

How he didnt sub Murphy is baffling.

Why did he start Murphy? Tino Murphy on the same flank is revolting. It's up there with Barnes on the right and Gordon on the left.

We've pissed so much money away it's unfathomable.

Even the best go stale from time to time.

From time to time.  Implying those dips were momentarily.

So we have had a moment with Howe before.  And this is another.  He turned it around last time.. so why would we sack him when he's more than capable of turning it around.

We want a team that tries and despite some performances they are trying out there, just not happening at the moment.

I think the players have cottoned on to the reality that we've hit our ceiling with Eddie, with our recruitment approach, and probably other things. They dont believe anymore and I somewhat don't blame them.

We'll probably get our twice annual schooling by the footballing powerhouse Bournemouth next week. Fun fun.

 Edward Woodward's character got burned alive in a straw man which was smaller than this.

Palace were awful, we looked like we couldn’t really be arsed. The last 2 league games have been truly terrible performances.

There’s something seriously wrong when you look at both the performances and some of the player choices.

We should have won that at a canter and yet nobody could be at all surprised at how it finished. Most of us probably expected it. Eddie has a job on to

pull this around.

give me a season with the forwards he wanted rather then what he got, I know its over with social media bollocks but seeing Howe at another club with money is gonna kill me

I'm guessing you're quite young? Certainly compared to some of us old fuckers on here 😀. Seeing ex players and managers at other clubs is just the  way it is, normal football stuff. I was happy when KK moved back into management with Man City.

Players and managers come and go. Its a cycle and Howe is probably about to complete his extremely successful time with us. I won't be arsed if he gets the Man U this summer, for example.

The Saudis didn’t do any of the shortlisting, they picked between the two who where presented to them.

We’ve won five out of 12 games this calendar year. Chelsea and Man Utd were impressive. The rest were against mid to bottom end of the table. Bruno coming back should help some but this is fucking dire form. Might be worth considering a change now in spite of the unlikelihood of it being easy to attract a top tier manager, to make for a better close season and a new manager bounce for the last few games.
Edit: but only if a top tier manager would be prepared to come.
