Sempiternal
It’s the best job ever imo. Not transfers, work little compared to PL managers, he’d be a fool to not consider it

Have no idea about Afobe but Bournemouth got their money back from Wolves after two seasons. Brooks cost £10m and TM had his value as high as €30m before he lost one season to an ankle injury and another to cancer ffs. Mepham is a £10m CB, I don't know how he could be seen as a failure. Solanke has more than doubled his value and is still only 26. Also cost ~£15m which really isn't much for a PL striker. Looks pretty fucking good if those are the big misses alongside Ibe. 54
It'll be Carsley imo, which while people would scoff at, wouldn't be a bad appointment, won the under 21's last year, plays fluid and attractive football, and keeps the continuity going for a lot of the players in the squad which the FA are big on. AyeDubbleYoo
Exactly, if Guardiola wasn't favourite for the Spain job then I don't see why Howe would be favourite for the England job. Both are top managers doing a great job a their clubs and therefore won't be considering moving into international management.

TBG
Could only see him going if he can't handle the pressuure/embarrassment that would come from losing our first game of the season against Southampton
Boo Boy
If Southgate leaves then the FA will promote the under 21 manager Lee Carsley 100%
Boey_Jarton
Howe would appear a good fit for the FA. English, clean image, professional, PR friendly. From Eddie's perspective, you cannot pick and choose when opportunities like this come up.

Collage
I think Southgate might be staying. They can point to reaching two finals as success, he’s probably easy to handle, doesn’t make a fuss. Probably liked by most players as well.
WilliamPS
The FA is the worst organisation in the world and has bags and bags of money, so they could do anything. Their first aim will be to avoid any responsibility so my guess is they go for the obvious candidates. The money to release Howe wouldn’t bother them one bit. I doubt they’ll go for Potter as he is nether an insider nor has the profile.

There's a reason you rarely see top flight managers move mid-contract from club to country. Let’s play devils advocate - say he was offered the job, do you think our owners will play hard ball over the England job? They want to be accepted and popular over here and choose your battles

HayDen Traces
I dont think Southgate stays. He's had enough, you can see it in his face. As for Howe, I don't want him to go and hopefully he feels the timing isn't quite right BUT its the biggest job of your career... tough to turn down.
