HaydnNUFC
"The team is fully capable of delivering". Delivering what, a 12th place finish? Dat ambition. Almost reads like a message to Bruce, passive aggressive to their own manager via a club statement. What a club.
GWN
I hope the club is relegated and does a Sunderland, fuck them .

Joey Linton
Are we really expected to believe we paid the full £40m for joelinton up front and in one go as well? Where did that much cash come from?
Sima
Ashley paid it himself, didn’t he?

nbthree3
Ashley was even prepared to spend £20m of his own money to secure Joelinton, "it wasn't even between Joelinton or Rondon" - my question is why was he so insistent?

Joey Linton
Edwards has written a few tweets about it now, but has said nothing to contradict the claims that Bruce knew and was comfortable with the "strategy" from the outset. thomas
Was all that just to get ahead of Bruce complaining publicly about it? God you know you're shit (and guilty) when you preemptively drop an essay of an apology before the inquisition has truly begun in earnest.

Hhtoon
"Having finished last season in 12th place in the Premier League, and in the top six of the form table over the final nine fixtures, the club at all levels maintains a strong belief in its current squad. We have a talented and committed group of players who have shown that they are fully capable of delivering" No mention or praise of Bruce here, in fact they seem to pointedly avoid referring to him directly. Hopefully all is not happy in paradise.
Ben
Maybe we could sell the Strawberry land that the club own, I bet that would bring in a few quid in these troubled times.
AyeDubbleYoo
Surely Bruce’s objections are just for show anyway? He knew we wouldn’t be buying any players when he took the job.

Guest
He’s been backed as much as any manager under Ashley since Allardyce when he first came in terms of being able to sign who he wants (Joelinton aside). If he hadn’t been so shite in ruining some players he might have been able to wheel & deal. I bet Ashley is foaming that in 3 summers his only saleable asset was Perez and that was down to the last guy. I really don’t see why he stands by Bruce.
