Looks like there is continued tension over the age and experience of our targets. The club is happy to go with young and unproven players and damn the consequences. Because Ashley didn't bring Rafa in so much as Rafa rang up and made such a good case for the job Ashley gave it to him. And that's part of the problem - Rafa has never been Ashley's man.
