Kid Icarus Posted November 30, 2021 Share Posted November 30, 2021 Positives: Howe's been forced into not playing players who are liabilities - Ritchie, Lascelles, and Clark - and will hopefully continue to play Lewis, Schar, and Fernandez instead. Negatives: Everything else. Even with a man advantage, Norwich were absolute dog shit and although we would have crawled to the win, we could and probably should have. I'm not really one for saying you must beat team X to stay up because points are often lost and gained unexpectedly, but it's not looking good at the moment. If Ritchie gets back in it'll be a disgrace. If the back 4 that started tonight continues to play I do think we could sneak a result in December. Any other team bar Norwich and we probably lose tonight. We'd have wiped the floor with them if it wasn't for Clark. As long as we begin January with the gap no bigger than 6 points we have a chance. Whether that happens or not I'm not convinced. Feel for Howe, missing Brentford and then Clark tonight, he's not had much luck; that said, 90% of fans were saying pre match Fede should've started. After two years of basically not watching I'm starting to see that too. Players who I thought were alright aren't; players who I thought were class are probably very average.
