samptime29
The Athletic video on toon possible signings is really interesting. On youtube. He thinks Semenyo would be perfect for us. I wasn't keen before watching video but his arguments make sense. Edited June 14 by samptime29
Thumbheed
I'd have Semenyo here. He's a slightly less refined Nico Williams. Edited June 14 by Thumbheed
Kimbo
I’d have Semenyo but he has the same problem Elanga, Pedro etc have, he’ll cost at least 50m, probably more like 60.
samptime29
He was also bigging up Soule as a possible cheaper option.
Geordie_once_removed Posted Saturday at 06:17 Share Posted Saturday at 06:17 Evan Ferguson anyone? He was tipped to be a world beater just a couple of years ago and is still only 20. Unless there is some context to his drop off I don't know of that is.

I might be making this up like 😂

I would back Eddie to get the best out of him, but his drop off has been huge.

There's a reason Brighton were desperate to cash in on him when his rep was high. They kept playing him to build and maintain that rep. They had no intention of him becoming a proper first teamer, but hoped to cash in. Nope.

Optimistic Nut Posted yesterday at 08:54 Share Posted yesterday at 08:54 Palhinha available on loan seemingly and linked to Fulham & Man U. Just seems another one that a year ago you could have seen Villa go for as depth for a season. Could even argue he'd be starting in the holding role allowing Tonali & Bruno a bit more freedom. Nah, reconfiguring the entire midfield for a loan player who's approaching 30 isn't something we'd be doing thankfully.

Ellis H
Calvert Lewin will be without a club after the 30th. If Howe does want him he’ll surely be coming in.
Sibierski
Flamengo apparently want at least 25m Euros for Wesley :/ That feels a good deal we should be going for. Him, Tino and Hall is a collection of full backs that sort us out for many seasons.
Deuce
Georges Mikautadze. Striker at Lyon. Player who compares closest to Isak on FBRef: https://fbref.com/en/players/4788cb6b/Georges-Mikautadze
Dr.Spaceman
Not sure we're after a carbon copy of Isak tbh, although I do like the idea of us signing a country like Georgia's best striker. Sat with a couple of Georgians in Crete watching the CL final and they were basically PSG fans because of Kvaratskhelia.
