Kieran Trippier: has a chance to play against Everton (Howe)

Recommended Posts

He has got a very lived-in face, hasn't he, Trippier?

A sort of World War 2 / rationing / tough upbringing look to him. Like he did a few years down the mine before getting discovered. James Milner is similar.

Looks like at some point in his young life, he was forced to resort to eating coal and grass.

Anyway, I like him. I know he's a clanger-magnet these days, but I still like him. He looks like what moron ex-pro commentators would call "an honest pro".

The tune from the Glaziers Man U song

He came from Spain in an airplane

Duh du duh du duh du duh

Kieran Trippier is his name

Best right back in the league

Duh du duh du duh du duh

Took us back to the Champions league

Duh du duh du duh du duh

Or replace:

Best right back in the league

To:

Captain's armband on his sleeve

Give the poor guy a break. He's had a rough six weeks.

Have to laugh at 'we only do what we are 100% convinced off'. Like they would've been happy to throw €13m on a shot in the dark.

Overjoyed he stays. Football for me is so much about the sentimentality and sense of belonging that keeping people like him brings, even at the expense of progress. I know it's daft, I can't help it.

I don’t think keeping him stunts any progress at all, he’s pretty much indispensable for the short/mid term and it would be especially silly to sell mid season. We’ve all got good reason to be pleased he’s staying.

That's going to be the ffp world I fear unless something is done. Seems every move football makes goes away from romance.

Would've taken an absolutely ridiculous amount of money for me to have been fine with this transfer. Talks of £10-15m was an absolute joke for me.

Obviously 'no one is paying more for a 33 year old full back', well if that's the case you simply don't get the best performing RB in Europe. He's been so vital for us since coming here, and I'm over the moon that we've told Bayern to fuck off and the he's staying
