Kieran Trippier: has a chance to play against Everton (Howe)

Yep he doesn't like Arsenal mind!

Trossard definitely said something that riled him up as well cos he was raging

Bruno smashing him straight after half time was definitely one for Trips. Gave him a mouthful after as well

After the final whistle he went to Bruno to hand the armband back.

Bruno gestured to him to put it back on. 😍

Got to keep him. Still a better RB than Tino and an organiser/calming influence on the team (already he was on radge setting last night).

Idk if he's a better rb than Tino. They are very different type of players. He definitely has qualities we miss when Tino plays & vice versa.

Would he have performed as well yesterday if Howe had opted for a 433 putting more defensive responsibility on him?

I definitely feel like people completely take Tino's defending for granted now, he's been that good.

If Trippier gets a run they will soon remember though.

The armband thing was a lovely moment but it feels like such a weird thing to be thinking about at that very moment. like 'hey before I forget and take it home with me!'.

Think it shows how much it means to him, duty to the club, your rank in the squad etc. Wanted to show respect.

It's a good question. That's why I'm not quite at the point of saying "he should start the next game". But IF he is in that kind of form, it's the kind of thing that makes you wonder if adjustments should be made to accommodate him.

To be fair he has made two massive apologies and admits he was out of order saying what he did. Probably best to move on, he'll definitely have learnt a lesson

Nah fuck that.  You just cant go around calling people weird little rats

Don't think that game proved anything from a physical persepective.

He still looks off it in that regard. But mentality wise that was much more like it.

I feel like he needed that performance. It was close to stepping over the line where occasionally it looked like he was gonna start fighting a teenager. He seemed to be playing angry, but he had a wise old head on him in regards trying to rile them up to put them off their game. Part of that is by necessity now due to his lack of legs and he needs to equalise things against younger faster players.

But yeah hopefully that is a turning point for him mentally and gives him a bit of confidence to perform close to his old levels again.

How did he look off it physically?
