As well as the house being up for sale, there's some changes happening that would suggest that the family aren't planning to be in the North East for next season

This is from a legit sauce, not some social media codswallop. But I have no insight into whether the changes are a result of personal issues, or a possible transfer

Is the forum now more negative than during the Ashley area?

I think it's more that we're more divided, many have moved to a more optimistic outlook in line with the progress the club are making, others are absolute misery-fiends and can't break the habitual belief built up over the Ashley years that nothing good ever happens

People posting and believing bullshit transfer shite they see on Twatter has caused a chain reaction of excessive bedwetting / premature ejaculation on the forum

Like most things in modern life, social media has polarised opinion into extremes

The opinion of the sensible middle ground is drowned out by lunatics who believe Twatter is the true source of all they hate / love in the world

Eddie Howe has told Kieran Trippier that he wants him to stay at Newcastle United next season.

The England defender has been heavily linked with a move away to the Saudi Pro League this summer, with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq credited with an interest.

However, there have been no bids for the 33-year-old and The Times understands that Howe, who is the FA’s leading choice to replace Gareth Southgate as England manager, met Trippier this week to tell him he was still a key part of his plans for next season.

Trippier is entering the final year of his contract at St James’ Park and is one of the best-paid players at the club, on about £130,000 a year.

He had been told new contract talks would start soon, but the management change that has taken place at the club in the past month, with the departure of the co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi, has so far derailed those negotiations.

Howe wants to keep trippier, Howe angry he didn’t get a chance to assess Minteh in pre season, Howe foaming at Elliot Anderson exit. According to the papers Howe’s understanding of PSR is worse than the NO collective.

And that’s before we cast our minds back to every other player we’ve flogged - Howe wanted to keep them all.  They know fuck all.

Could also be that the England lads got an extended break for reaching final.
