He does, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's too serious.

Sounds like he could be back this season, but we may well start preparing him for preseason.

Trouble is he's already been out for as many games as he's been available since he joined us and just turned 25.

Really feel for him but we might need to look at 2 centre halfs.

We don't have the money to look for two centre halves. I would imagine we'd just keep using Dan Burn assuming we expect Botman to be fit for next season.

If its not serious then I dont thinks its THAT bad news. Doubt he would had been able to get himself into a good form and make much of a positive difference by the end of the season anyways.

Thats assuming Schär and Burn stays fit ofcourse.. Looking really thin back there now.

Hopefully its a freak injury and not an indication of what his injury record is going to be like in the future.

Might be a bit unpopular opinion, but Emil Krafth is anyways slightly better player than Botman. More versatile and quicker with the ball.  So no worries. Been very impressed of Krafu lately. Discuss.

I more meant is it the same injury that Eddie was referring to in that embedded post? From what our ITK friend has said, it sounded like he had more or less recovered from the ‘knock’ Eddie was speaking about, then something else, more significant, happened in training, resulting in needing an op.

So am I, really. Although It’s the same knee. So assuming it is linked.

I'm struggling to see what you're trying to achieve with these posts. You'll never be as funny as TBG man, let it go.

Any chance that the 'surgery' he needs is a relatively minor procedure, and something that could have him playing again quickly (even in time for the final), with the knee patched up?

But journo's (and ITK) hear 'surgery' and immediately jump to the worst scenario?

Something like meniscus surgery and he’d be back playing pretty sharp’ish, I would have thought? As in, this season.

No idea what the time frames are like for a pro versus an amateur bum like me are, mind.

Yep standard Arthroscopy to clean up bone fragments \ trim cartlidge etc. would be a quick recovery time but would be too tight for the final in my opinion, not a doctor but I have had 5 of the buggers!

When I ignore people I always just click to open the post anyway

Find it easier just to scroll past.

In dark mode the ignored posts blend seamlessly into the background I love it.

Looked to be in response to someone suggesting he could miss the rest of the season

I think he was probably just responding to the post finishing with “is Botman becoming injury prone?”
