Appreciate some will say 'it's just a social media post', blah blah, but given the friction Isak has caused with fans, the club, etc... it's a bit stupid from Botman, even if they are best mates.

Fans, quite rightly so too, are feeling frustrated by how Isak has disrespected pretty much everyone at the club, and then posting this doesn't exactly help with that, and makes Botman look a bit daft.

Just because people don't take the same view as going doesn't mean they lack emotional maturity.

Sure… there’s having a different view, but then there’s opening every thread and reading over blown, over dramatic, and ridiculously negative reactions to every single fucking thing…

”the fee is too high”

”the fee is too low”

”we’ve been bent over”

”the owners don’t care”

”heads need to roll for this transfer window”

”omg he liked a post”

”omg he said goodbye to his friend”

It’s relentless, and fucking miserable to read, especially when you consider it’s  against the backdrop of a club that is actually at its highest point in generations, showing ambition, winning things, with potential the best squad / depth we’ve ever had.

These are called different point of views and kind of the point of this place.

People will have different opinions on various matters, id say being able to manage that and respond to the point is emotional maturity but that's just my 2c.

It takes me back to a conversation I had with @Heron (who is one of the nicest people on here imo) and we were basically discussing this he explained to me that he took a positive approach and even though I tend to be more pragmatic and attempt to read between the lines and had differing opinions to him he always responds with a great deal of respect.

Sorry for the tangent I just wanted to mention, but in terms of practicality we have an ignore function to which anyone is welcome to use.

The bloke who pretends to be ITK going around telling people they're acting like they're twelve.

Also, in reply to this, no one’s pretending to be anything. Everything I post is in good faith with good intentions, and is from people I interact with regularly (some within the club, some very close to players, some within the industry as a whole).

Not everything turns out exactly as I’m told, sure, but I don’t have a day to day input into the inner workings of NUFC (sadly).

Wouldn’t be much going on here if everybody agreed all the time. Different views are what makes this place (and indeed any place good). If some take a more negative view that is balanced by the more optimistic posters. It’s good for everybody to read views that don’t align with their own but make them think about other angles.

Some of you guys are acting like teenagers tracking & getting irate about every inconsequential thing their favourite popstar tweets/posts on their socials.

Botman liking a message from Isak is such a non-starter.

Honestly lads, just take a fucking breath. A current player said goodbye and good luck to one of his best mates. Who gives a fuck?

The emotional age on this board must be about 12.

What a patronising berk.

Do you honestly think these posts like this from you and others are any less relentless and inflammatory? Genuinely, because the way I see it we're all guilty of something that gets on some people's wicks like, no one is exempt at all and the only difference with some posters is self-awareness (or lack of it)

Last season Abu Kamara who was on loan at Pompey in 23/24 had to do a social media apology alongside the Hull manager as he congratulated his mate (playing for Pompey) for scoring his first Championship goal on instagram. Hull fans and management were up in arms basically saying he can't be happy for anyone who doesn't play for Hull.

It was pathetic. People are allowed friends inside of football who play for other clubs.

Same with Botman here. Optics might not be great but c'mon...

Absolutely this. Fucking short memories around here.  Social media induced neurosis.

Intentional or not Sven is kinda setting his stall out by posting such things publicly.

Yea, new deal at these terms or I’m off. Which he will have a fucking cheek to demand high wages when he’s been injured loads and still uncapped by Holland.

We can't predict what he's going to do, I do imagine he will want a rise as he's an established premier League player. I think he won't play too much this season though so justifying it for us will be really tough.

That being said, Waugh said Leverkusen asked about him and we're told not for sale so I assume the plan is new deal for him.
