Who gives a fuck  as someone above said, couldve sent him a text or a private message, but that's life these days, everyone always seems to send public messages these days to congratulate, wish well etc... 

 

I'm as bitter over isak as the next man, but to be angry over botman  over wishing his friend well is mad ahha

I don’t really think in terms of proving fitness - sometimes you’re injured and sometimes you’re fit. Of course it will be better when he’s been fit for a longer period.

It’s the public congratulations that is weird.  It’s a public declaration that he stands with Isak when he knows the fans do not.  And some of his team mates too.

Correct. It is exactly the same as that. Footballers are still humans, Isak will have friends in the camp, Sven is obviously one of them. 

 

People make the mistake of holding footballers to ridiculous social standards. They're young lads who in a lot of cases just see it as a job, they're not going to burn long term friendships over someone changing employment. 

 

In the grand scheme of things, him liking Isak's post on Instagram is about as insignificant a thing as I could imagine anyone possibly getting worked up over.

Botman is a really good player, but genuinely, these days, do you think he's better than Dan Burn? Burn is pretty much perfect week after week. Even a healthy Botman doesn't displace him imo.

It doesn't bother me too much that Botman has done this but, really....  maybe it would have been better just to send him a text....  Created a bit of an unnecessary stir amongst us fans!

Botman is (was) our best centre half like, but it obviously remains to be seen if he's still the same player from 22/23.

 

2-3 years is a long time in football, and he certainly shouldn't be ousting Burn on current form.

He’s not playing better, Burn is playing amazingly well. But Botman is a better player IMO.

PS I never said we should be dropping Burn immediately, it’s just a shame that such a great CB has to be left out.

Botman has more attributes than burn it's only injuries that has stopped him from regaining his place in the team.

It is. For me other than Botman's slightly better long range passing, I don't know if he's better at any one defensive skill than Burn. And of course Burn's leadership skills and character on the pitch which are so vital for that position puts him even further ahead imo and makes it a no-contest.
