As has been said by others, if Botman is physically ready to go (signed off as such by Bunce), but the concern is match fitness then I don't see how that does not apply to Kelly, who has only played one full game six weeks ago (West Ham 2-0 loss) and other than that only had two extra time substitute appearances since September 21st. They're both going to be rusty as hell, which is a major worry in itself.

I can't see him starting Botman, but i also kinda think an inanimate pole is better than Kelly

Was fairly obvious from the presser that he’d play, tbf. Howe was surprisingly open.

Didn't watch, but heard that. Still, it's a big move. Shows a lot of confidence from both sides. Not so much in Kelly, mind. Exciting, though.

Hopefully banking on being 4-0 up at HT and able to give him a breather so he can play at Arsenal an’ all

Interesting to see how the Botman Burn partnership works. Seeing as Burn has arguably been our best CD this season it could be Schar who ends up the odd one out if they click.

Given Botman is coming in cold, I would think Burn will be shifted to the right. Would be asking a lot for Botman to come in cold and play out of position as well.

This goes pear shaped for him, Howe may have some questions to answer.

Hes played 3 games for the u21s. But yes lets get angry at Howe for some reason

How cold is he ? Eddie says he's had 3 games and depending on the intensity of those plus that of the training will have helped make the decision.

I just assume playing U-21 football is a lot different to a full pelt Premier league game. But Eddie's not the type to take chances so yeah, I guess he must be pretty confident Sven is ready.

Bunce will have okayed him starting, these decisions are no longer ‘on Howe’ (when they go wrong).

That's going to fuck with some people's heads.

"Ultimately Howes the manager and he's responsible". I've already found them a way out. [emoji38]

Well you do have to start asking if he's the man for the job if his team selections are so heavily dictated by the expertise of staff dedicated to the fitness of players.

But hey. Don't shoot the questioner.

Really exciting event about to unfold, yet some can't help displaying negativity. Genuinely perplexes me [emoji38]

Questions, mate. Just questions.

Enjoy the game!
