Sell us Isak or else?

A second season of them deliberately leaking approaches for our top players.

Our approach with Elanga was done with the utmost respect for forest as all our dealings with them have been. We have a great relationship with them.

Or else what ? When did they say that ?

We knew through the press we were after him and we low balled them when it went official.

It was the initial report yesterday, obviously sensationalised but the timing and intent are perfectly clear to anyone who can read between the lines.

In all seriousness, is Pletti reliable ?

I want to believe it, but yesterday he was saying Liverpool were going to test the water with an £86m bid for Isak

He is meant to be but the tweet yesterday about Isak was bizarre (£86m bid from Liverpool). He is the main Sky Sports guy so I assume they play by similar rules to our Sky Sports who are normally pretty accurate.

Edit: Hopefully he has better knowledge of Ekitike as it involves a German club.

He was first to break the concrete offer for Ekitike yesterday, but he shit the bed on Liverpool buying Isak for 100m euros too. Could be that he has contacts with Eintract but is just regurgitating on the Isak stuff.

Also the news outlets jumping on the "it's Newcastle or no one" line. Surely that just translates as, we are the only official bid on the table currently. Not that the player would turn down other clubs for us.

What "Newcastle are buying a striker. Wonder if that means they are looking to cash in" ?

Has there actually been an offer ? How much is it journalists mostly online hacks, looking  for clicks ?

However, their fans ? I want to absolutely ram it down their gravel filled throats should we get our way for the way they go on/have went on.

He clearly did what most of them are stupidly doing and put €'s instead of £'s in his tweet and then it makes more sense that Liverpool were trying for £100-120m. Which was widely reported yesterday as their opening valuation.

That was how I read it before people interpreted it differently. Can't imagine him saying no to Liverpool if they had a bid accepted now because he wants to play for Newcastle and nobody else. Must be mistranslated.

Yep. All this takes about 'Newcastle or no one' is misleading. It means we're more attractive to him than his current options, i.e. Saudi or staying with Frankfurt. A lot can change depending on who will make a play for him. Chelsea haven't even entered the chat yet.

They're a bunch of cunts. Don't overthink it.

Yeah, the actual Bild article just says it's us or no one because we're the only ones who've made an offer other than Saudi clubs (which Ekitike isn't interested in)
