Ekitike at frankfurt is as good as Isak at Sociedad imo

Main difference is Isak has proven it in the prem.

I am not saying he doesn't have the potential to be as good but he's not at that level now and that's what Liverpool want

That's why Isak is first choice, Elitike 2nd.

They've got very few options tbh. One of the reasons Isak is so valuable is because world class strikers are few and fair between and amongst that there's a couple who are just TOTALLY off limits (Haaland/Mbappe). So they have to either go for someone extremely expensive and difficult to obtain (Isak) or risk it and go for a young one (Ekitike). Or the other less popular option is a stop gap like Mateta/Rashford/Watkins

I'm surprised they don't want Sesko but a lot of clubs seem to be avoiding him this summer.

I am still not 100% convinced they will go for Ekitike as if they can't get Isak now I think they'll come back.  As if they go for Ekitike it blocks that move in the future.  I am convinced this is them just puffing their chest out.  This is the first real test for the Saudi ownership to flex their muscle to show they mean business that they want this club to be No 1.  I.e. by keeping Isak and getting Ekitike.

Maybe, time will tell. How would it block the move for the future ?

Liverpool need a striker to lead the line now - not in a year or two time.  Hugo has the potential but he's not Isak at this moment in time.  I dunno I could be wrong - let's see what happens.  But am hoping Liverpool kick PIF into action as I am sure they don't like being pushed around.

‘Ekitike only wants LFC’ isn’t good for Liverpool if they think they’ve got a chance of Isak. It’s even less likely we’d sell.

That'll be bollocks, no way we'll have gone as far as we have after discussion with his reps if that's what he thinks, why'd they even talk to us.

Cause they already Writz, Salah - if they buy Hugo - you would think it'd be less appealing to Isak to move in the future as it'd mean he'd have competition for one space.  Where at Newcastle he is the main man - Who knows- maybe I am talking shite but it's just my thoughts.

Can't always get what you want. They won the league last year without a proper striker. As I said, it's not like it's Isak or no one for them, as we've seen from their "interest" in Ekitike.

They won't get Isak so they'll have to look elsewhere or change how they play slightly. Rodrygo has been rumoured in the last hour or so for them.

I genuinely think we should make a gentleman’s agreement with Liverpool regarding Isak. 140m next summer and they leave Ekitike alone and don’t even try.

That gentleman’s agreement should be that he can go next summer to Real Madrid their parenting club for 140m. Only fair if you ask me.

Salah’s almost done, he’ll fade out a bit this season and the season after (if he’s still there) he’ll be a shadow

Got two year deal so he'll be there for a while yet

How about they don't get Isak at all.

Absolutely not, we should tell them to fuck off AND when/if we do sell Isak it must be abroad, unless he's 30 and were moving him on.

Maybe we should bid for another striker to put a bit of pressure on this deal. My opinion on this is if he comes to us, brilliant, if he goes to Liverpool then so what, we'll just go get someone else. My main priority in this whole mess is a new striker plus keeping Isak. It wasn't Pedro, it might not be Ekitike but we'll get someone in, the money is there.

We'll do that if we get to a point we don't think this can be done.
