Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Recommended Posts

I couldn't give much of a shite if Ekitike went to Liverpool really. It's theoretically more galling, because it felt like he was destined for us but, ultimately, he has absolutely no affiliation to Newcastle so I couldn't give a monkeys until he does. In the end, he's just another opponent.

I've faith that we'd get someone else really good.

Then we'll have overpaid by a few million but get the chance to play the whole season with 2 of the brightest CF stars in Europe :)

A few million wouldn't be that bad. What if its 15million ?

This time a couple of weeks ago most people were all in on Joao Pedro.

This. We know which ponds we’re fishing in now. Whoever we get should be complimentary to the group. Would still love him to choose us mind just to fuck you to Liverpool.

Need to assume that 70-75 wasn't getting it done so we would have had to raise it anyway. 86 is automatically accepted according to all reports and forces other clubs to match it.

If they end up with him then it's fair enough, they're entitled to go for whoever they like but I'd like us to force their hand and if they're prepared to pay 86 to get their number 2 striker target then fair play, good for them. We've still got the one everyone wants and we're no worse off and have lost no-one

We really should've signed Duran on loan with a decent future buy.

The same Duran who hasn’t turned up for the first day of training at his new club?

That's assuming a bit.

It's simply indicative of the player pool we're shopping in and it's challenging and aggravating at times. Each time we've gone for a real game-changing player, the establishment have basically said "nah, we're having him", despite in most cases having shown little interest prior. Mbeumo, apparently declared only Man Utd weeks ago. Foolish on his part but we got Elanga so no harm done, even if Mbeumo may be more technically proficient in the immediate.

Twice now we've gone for Pedro and he's ended up somewhere else. Now Ekitike may end up at Liverpool because God forbid, we improve our front line. Funny how scared of us they are in a way. If it's not PSR, it's the cartel "deciding" who goes where. It's frustrating but hopefully, we'll get the 3-4 more we need.

Is this fucker signing for Newcastle or Liverpool?

Ipswich. Something went wrong in the contract and now he's there for life. Pity. He seemed like a good egg.
