Nice goal but that knee slide isn’t NUFC level. Isak, Willock and Hall need to show him how it’s done. Sort that and we can talk about bringing him in.

For some context to that goal it was against Bochum who are rock bottom without a single win. Frankfurt won 7-2.

He's looked really good for Frankfurt this season though. Obviously helped by playing every week and in a league where he gets space and time, but definitely looks a player. You can see we knew what we were doing going for him.

Speaking of Frankfurt. Anyone seen much of Omar Marmoush? Looks like a very exciting and versatile quality player from the little I’ve seen.

He's been playing as a support striker behind the other lad though, and they've been banging them in between them. 8 goals (4 assists) in 13 this season isn't bad anyway.

 

I'm still glad we didn't sign him, as pretty sure we'd have not got Isak, but you can see he's got a lot of ability now he's gone to the right kind of club to play for.

He’s their next big sale so I expect he won’t be cheap. Is a good few years older than Ekitike too.

He had looked really good for Frankfurt, combined with Mamoush really well. Can see why Eddie liked him as a player.

His current value makes this a no go although it vindicates our initial interest in him. This needs to be our MO - promising youngsters from the continent we can buy before they become 50/60/70m players.

The issue was never his ability. It was his attitude and ego. If a player has snubbed you twice, each time pretending like they were going to sign before getting cold feet, then you don't go for them a third time.

There was no way he was gonna turn PSG down. Even though it didn't work out for him he can't be blamed at all. I'd love to see him here. He's quality.
