Is there any reason to doubt he'd pass a fitness test? If it's a last minute loan deal we can put in the condition that he passes.

He’s been on the bench and involved for Man Utd recently so wouldn’t have thought so

Medicals can be as stringent as you like.

Including wages they are looking at getting close to 10m for a player they have no use for. And if that turns into only ~5m then we're relegated and they are probably happy with that too. Seems like it would be really dumb on their part to pass on this.

And they lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

It’s a weird situation really, 2 weak negotiating positions trying to decide who is the most desperate.

Well it's obviously us. They can just keep him to his contract and tell him to sit tight.

This is getting tiresome, but it's going to happen isn't it. West Ham are a point behind Man U and have easier remaining fixtures. Man U were below them five-six matches ago. They are competing for the fourth CL place with Chelsea nine points ahead in third. Man U would have to be mental to give West Ham a leg up.

But then they get no money back and he leaves for nothing. Him staying there doesn’t work for either party.

Assuming they have anyone looking at the money.

Depends if they'd rather have the money or see us go down.

Really hope we get him, we desperate need somebody who can actually kick the ball and score some goals. Would be a very good window all things considered if we get him over the line

                    Wood

 ASM                               Lingard

        Joelington   Shelvey

                    Bruno

Targett  Burn   Schar/Laca  Trippier

                  Dubbie

Wonder if we'll switch to 4-4-2 when Wilson returns and him upfront with Wood?
